Rebound We need to be aggressive on the boards. When we get beat on the boards, more often than not we get beat in the game. Be Aggressive We have to aggressively take the ball to the basket and not settle for outside shots. We have to be aggressive on defense. We have to be aggressive going after loose balls and rebounds. Who would have ever thought that the Raptors would be 7 games over .500 and at the same time, we'd be 29 games under .500 this season?
Ainge needs to take a page out of Colangelo's book and start investing in some European talent--Colangelo's find some real keepers.

if this is a developmental stage of the season, I would be starting Green rather than West.

The Bosh - Jefferson matchup is one worth watching tonight. Gotta find an excuse to watch the Celtics. Toronto has something to play for, we really don't. Green will get plenty of run from here on out. Pierce will play no more than 20 minutes a night, if he plays. I want to see if Telfair has game. Nothing has led me to believe he is an NBA player, yet.

Gary Tanguay in for Mike Gorman who is sick. Rondo, West, Pierce, Perk and Al starting for the Celtics.
Raptors win the tip. Parker hits a jumper on the baseline. Rondo kicks the ball out to West who misses everything on his shot and Celtics with a 24 second violation. Bosh misses a layup and tip in and Al gets the rebound. Pierce hits a jumper. Bosh is fouled by Perk and goes to the line. Bosh hits the first and misses the second and Perk rebounds. PP's shot rattles in and out and Parker comes away with the rebound. Rasho (Nesterovic - last name too hard to type out every time) hits inside. PP goes to the hoop for a dunk off a feed from Perk. 3 second violation on Raptors as Celtics played effective zone defense. PP misses 3 and Perk tips the rebound to Al who lays it in. Rasho misses a jumper and Perk rebounds. West hits a 3 from the top of the arc as Rondo draws the defense inside. Raptors turn it over. PP drives inside and misses a layup. Al misses the put back and Perk gets the rebound but is called for a foul as Garbajosa flops. Gomes comes in for Perk who picks up his 2nd foul. Ford hits a 3. PP draws the foul as he drives baseline. Celtics inbound on the side. Celtics miss and Bosh rebounds. Raptors miss and PP fights for and gets the rebound. Al misses as he is hit on the hand but no call. Raptors rebound. Raptors miss and Al rebounds. West called for a travel. Travelling called on Bosh. PP goes strong to the hoop along the baseline and dunks it. Gomes called for a foul as Bosh makes a move to the hoop. Time out with Celtics up 11-8 and 5:26 left in the 1st.

Q at 5:26 1st - I like the starting lineup - playing cohesively and getting an early lead. Pierce should not overdo it though.

Raptors rebound. Ford called for an offensive foul. Al with a strong move inside and lays it in. Bosh misses a jumper and PP rebounds. PP misses a jumper. Raptors rebound. Rondo beats Ford down the floor and knocks it out of Ford's hands. Raptors inbound and parker hits a jumper on the baseline. Gomes misses a jumper and Ford comes up with the loose ball. Bosh misses and Rondo rebounds. He gets it ahead to West for a layup. Rasho loses the ball out of bounds. Al misses a hook shot on the baseline and Raptors rebound. Gomes called for his second foul. Time out with Celtics up 15-13. 2:42 left in the first.

Ford at the line. hits both FTs. PP drives into the paint and kicks it out to West who hits a jumper. Al blocks Humphrey's dunk attempt and Celtics come away with it. PP takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Ford hits a jumper. West goes baseline and is fouled by Parker. Celtics inbound on the side. Pp drives baseline and finds Al in the lane who draws the foul. Raptors are over the limit and Al goes to the line. He hits the first and misses the second. Raptors rebound. Bosh takes it hard to the basket for a dunk. Rondo penetrates and finds Al for a layup. Garbajosa catches a pass out of bounds and Raptors turn it over. Green comes in for PP. Celtics inbound on the side. West misses a jumper and Green grabs the rebound. Green misses and Raptors rebound but miss a 3/4 court shot at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Boston 22 and Toronto 19

Q's 1st qtr review - The Celtics played very well the 1st qtr in all phases of the game against a tough opponent. The defense caused 6 turnovers and that is a good thing. Celtics I believe only had that West traveling TO.

Celtics inbound to start the second. Telfair is in at the point with Al Gomes West and Green. Celtics turn it over and Calderon hits a jumper. Gomes front rims a jumper and Calderon rebounds. Bosh misses and Telfair rebounds. Gomes loses the ball in the lane and Telfair called for a foul away from the ball. Raptors inbound on the sdie. Raptors miss and Green rebounds. Al misses a jumper. Raptors rebound. Raptors miss and Telfair rebounds. West takes it to the hoop with his right hand and is fouled by Peterson. He hits the first and Powe comes in for Al. He hits the second. Travelling called on Garbajosa. Telfair takes it baseline and loses it out of bounds. Graham misses and Telfair tracks down the rebound. Powe goes hard to the basket and draws the foul on Humphreys, his second. Time out with Celtics up 24-21 and 8:57 left in the half

Green misses an alley oop dunk and Garbajosa misses a 3 and Graham gets the rebound and put back. West called for an offensive foul. Perk is in for Gomes who picked up his 3rd foul. Green with a block on Garbajosa. Peterson misses inside and Telfair rebounds. Telfair misses a 3 from the corner and Raptors rebound and turn it over on a bad pass out of bounds. Green misses a 3 from the corner. Bosh with the rebound. Barbajosa misses a 3. perk tips the rebound out to West who takes it all the way to the basket for a layup. Garbajosa lays it in. Perk called for a travel as he gets the ball out by the arc Time out with Celtics up 28-25 and 5:43 left in the half.

Celtics keep a small advantage due to their strong inside defense. The Celtics need to figure out that zone defense and move without the ball.

Raptors inbound and bring it up. Bosh misses in the lane but draws the foul on Telfair. He misses the first and hits the second. Rondo in for Telfair. Green hits a jumper over Parker from the top of the key. Rofndo battling Garbajosa and forces a jump ball. Rondo wins the tip even though he gives up 5 inches to Garbajosa but they called a violation on Powe. Blocking foul called on Powe but the replay shows it was clearly an offensive foul on Bosh. Terrible calls. Bosh hits both FTs. Perk's pass inside to Rondo was picked off and Raptors lost it out of bounds. PP misses a jumper and Al rebounds. Green misses a jumper from the top of the key and Raptors get the rebound in spite of Rondo chasing it down and almost getting it. Raptors turn it over out of bounds. Rondo drives into the lane and lays it in. Raptors miss a jumper but Rasho is there for the put back. Green called for a walk. Ford misses a jumper and Al rebounds. Bosh is called for a foul as Pierce drives baseline. Time out with Celtics up 32-30 and 2:48 left in the half.
