West was going to try to practice today but was still having headaches as of last night. If it is at all possible for West to play, I am sure he will. But it would be better to give Rondo and Telfair another chance to see what they can do. I would love to see Rondo continue to start at the point and West start at the 2 guard. The Starting Lineup could change as Doc may put Scal back in at SF and West may come back to play this game. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games but are only 12-20 on the road for the year. Key Matchup vs  Both players are known as big time players in the 4th quarter. Should be an interesting matchup. Keys to the Game Big Al Big Al has been the go to guy and unstoppable in in the paint. He needs to continue his strong play off the bench for this team to continue to play well. Defense This team has proved that they can play the type of defense that wins games. The only problem is that they don't play it all the time. They need to put that type of effort out all the time on Defense and they will move to the next level. Ball movement We had 25 assists on 45 baskets last night (mostly in the second half). When we move the ball and find the open man, we are competitive. When the players stand around and hold the ball and try to do too much individually, we lose badly (See Rockets' game).
Rebound We have to win the war on the glass. When we are aggressive on the boards and win the rebounding war, we have a chance to win every game. When we slack off on the boards, we get beat. |

We have trouble matching up with the Bulls because of their outside firepower and their defense and unfavorable coaching matchup.
However, the Celtics are improving overall and are fighting to establish themselves and work their way up from dead last in the NBA.

Yeah, we never beat these guys. or the Suns, Spurs, or Mavs. I don't think we've ever beaten Duncan. If we beat any of these teams we can kiss Oden and Durant goodbye

We have trouble matching up with the Bulls because of their outside firepower and their defense and unfavorable coaching matchup. However, the Celtics are improving overall and are fighting to establish themselves and work their way up from dead last in the NBA. Joakim Noah would help our team. |

Celtics wearing their gold and green St Patrick's Day uniforms. I think these are my favorites. I like the green and black but the green and gold are my favorites.
Doc just said he still isn't sure about Delonte but Gomes is definitely out. Hopefully we will play defense today because we won't win without it.
Bulls are second in the league against FG defense. We don't do well against teams who defend. When a team pressures us on defense we seem to fold. Hopefully they have grown enough to be able to beat it.
Green, Perk, Al, Pierce and Rondo starting.

Bulls win the tip. Bulls miss a runner in the lane. Loose ball foul on Brown on the rebound. PP misses a jumper from the top of the key. green gets the rebound and hits a short jumper in the lane. Rondo called for a foulhe misses both FTs. Celtics rebound. Green misses and Rondo takes the rebound away from Wallace and misses the put back. Wallace rebounds. Gordon hits a baseline jumper. Green's baseline jumper goes in and out. Bulls rebound. Deng hits a jumper. Rondo hits a baseline jumper at the SC. Perk wiht a block on Brown. Brown misses the follow and Al rebounds. Rondo hits a jumper and is fouled as he goes flying to the floor. Technical foul called on Skiles. PP misses the T. Rondo misses the FT and Bulls rebound. Brown goes to the basket and misses a layup but Perk is called for a foul. He hits both FTs. PP goes into the lane and kicks out to Green who misses a jumper. Pp rebounds and Al gets a dunk. Pass inside to Wallace for a dunk. Perk misses on the baseline and Brown rebounds. Gordon misses and Perk rebounds. PP misses a deep 3. Bulls rebound. Hinrich misses and Bulls rebound and get it inside to Deng for a dunk. Celtics miss and Bulls rebound. Hinrich hits a fall away jumper. Time out with Bulls up 12-8 and 5:49 left in the first

This will be a tough game for the Celtics, just play the defense and make Chicago earn their points. Pierce gets shut down by Luol Deng and that is a problem. Need GG and AL J to step up.

Rondo, Green, Pierce, Jefferson, Perk. I really like this.. I pray that Doc keeps this lineup in tact from here on out. Let these guys get some chemistry together. This lineup has the ability to dominate.

Celtics inbound on the side. Foul on Gordon on the inbounds pass. Tommy said that he should get an emmy for acting on the foul as well. Rondo at the line and hits both FTs. Duhon turns it over on a bad pass out of bounds. PP misses a jumper and Bulls rebound. Pierce took that shot over a double team while Al was wide open. Bulls turn it over. Kicked ball. Celtics inbound. Rondo misses a jumper. Duhon hits a 3 from the corner. PP misses a fall away but is fouled by Deng on the shot. Telfair comes in for Green. Telfair and Rondo in the back court. PP hits both FTs. Duhon hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Al gets the pass inside and his shot is blocked Bulls come away with it. Al called for a foul on Wallace inside. Wallace hits the first and misses the second. Bulls grab the rebound and Al called for his second foul on the rebound. Powe comes in for Al. Thomas hits the first and misses the second. Perk with the rebound. PP has a jumper partially blocked and Bulls come away with it. Telfair fouls Deng. Celtics are over the limit and Deng hits the first misses the second. Powe grabs the rebound. Telfair misses a jumper and Powe powers down the rebound. Rondo splits the defense and lays it down to Powe who lays it in and draws a foul. Time out with Chicago up 21-14 and 2:39 left in the first

Delonte had declared himself good to go but the doctor overruled and he won't play tonight. Powe completes the 3 point play. Telfair tips the pass out of bounds. Bulls inbound with 10 on the SC. Bulls miss and rebound is tipped around and goes out of bounds off Telfair. Hinrich hits a jumper from the FT line. Rondo misses a floater in the lane and Powe misses the tip. Bulls rebound. Powe called for a blocking foul. Bad call as he was set. Scal and Ray come in for PP and Perk. Thomas hits the FTs Ray has it stripped as he goes into the lane and Celtics with a 24 second violation. Telfair passed up 3 open shots in that sequence. Powe blocks Thomas's dunk. Celtics come away with it. Rondo takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Thomas called for an offensive foul. Hinrich called for a foul. Rondo has been knocked down and has hit the floor several times already. Rondo misses both FTs. Powe grabs the rebound. Scal misses a 3 and Ray tips the rebound out to Telfair. Scal stepped out of bounds and Celtics turn it over with 5.5 left in the first. Thomas gets the inbounds pass and takes it all the way to the basket but misses the layup at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Chicago 24 and Celtics 17

Ray finds Powe in the paint and he is fouled going up for the shot. Powe hits the first, misses the second. Rebound goes to the Bulls. Kryapa misses and Rondo rebounds. Rondo with a bounce passe between 2 defenders and finds Powe in the paint for a 2 handed dunk. Gordon hits a jumper. Ray called for an offensive foul as he drives to the basket. Rondo with a steal and he takes it all the way to the basket for a layup. Duhon misses in the lane and Telfair grabs the rebound. He gets it ahead to Rondo who goes to the basket but is called for a travel. Time out with Bulls up 28-25 and 8:42 left in the half.

Kryapa misses a jumper and Rondo grabs the rebound. Telfair takes it to the basket and lays it in. Offensive 3 second violation on the Bulls. Powe hits a hook shot in the lane. Celtics with a steal and Telfair gets it ahead to Ray who lays it in. Time out with Celtics up 34-31 and 6:36 left in the half.
