Wow, ugly game up until the last half of the 4th quarter. I was ready to turn off the game because I was so upset with Doc. Why in the world does he keep playing that lineup? Scalabrine is not a miracle worker, and Delonte is not a PG. Both guys were laying bricks, but yet Doc stayed with them.
I thought Pierce was selfish for most of the game, but to his credit, he hit the most important shots at the end of the game. Delonte also made good by drilling his free throws to close the game.
Telfair is starting to look better. It took Doc 3/4 of the game to realize that Delonte wasn't the answer at the Point, and he finally put in Telfair. Bassy didn't instantly change the game, but he made some nice plays and he attacked the basket that led to Jefferson and Delonte getting a couple of putback points late in the 4th quarter.
I think Gerald was nervous in this game, playing on his home turf. I'm sure he had his entire family watching him on this night, and it may have caused him to clamp up.
Good win though.

If the Rockets lose 18 games in a row without Yao and TMac it doesn't mean they are the worst team of all time.
It is a good win cause that team still had vets that can play. Guys that deserve to be in the league. Bonzi Wells, Tsakalidis, Battier, Mutumbo, Juwan Howard, Luther Head, Hayes. And it was in Houston right? So it's a fine win.
