This really upsetted me. Rajon's impact was felt throughout the game whenever he was on the court. Clearly, he's much better than Delonte at the 1. Its not even a debate. So why does Doc continue to start Delonte at the 1? We dug ourselves into an early hole because we couldn't get things going offensively and defensively, and we were basically being held back from facing a blowout because of Pierce's and Gerald's hot shooting (and I mean hot ). But with Rajon coming into the game, he sparked life back into the team and we went into the half with a 4 ponit lead (after being down by 15 at one point). We were playing exciting basketball, and I couldn't wait for halftime to be over with so we could get back to the exciting game. But my heart sank when I saw Delonte out there, manning the PG spot, slowing things down again. Why Doc, why? Delonte is better used as a scoring option. Let our real PG's play the 1 (Rajon and Telfair) and quicken up the game. When will he ever learn?

Rajon has become the best plus-minus guy out there according the 82 games.com. I like West but he is not quite the athlete and PG we need out there. I would like to trade for Mike Bibby if at all possible. If not Bibby, than Damon Stoudemire or Brevin Knight.

I have no problem with Delonte. I do agree Rondo should be starting eventually and he will be. Just be patient. I think Doc likes Delonte's shooting and defense and it's not like he hurts us when he's on the floor. Delonte is a solid player and a smart one. He does need to be more aggressive shooting hte ball, he's gotten away from that the past couple games.

The main issue I have with Doc, is Wally and Pierce are back and Doc is going small ball again. I don't know why he insists on doing this.

Its because Doc has certain players who he is so comfortable with--Pierce, Wally, Delonte and Gomes being a few of them. Jefferson has made it on this list, but I don't mind this one at all.
I don't think there's any reason to be patient--Rajon is already a better PG than Delonte.

Is Delonte being showcased for a possible trade. I doubt it but with Danny Boya you just don't know what he is thinking.

Could be. You just never know. Delonte will be pushed aside sooner or later from the PG spot. Rajon and Telfair are the PG's. And sooner or later, Gerald or Tony (if he returns to full health) will be our starting wing player opposite of Pierce. And off the bench, I think Allan Ray will solidify a role as an instant offensive player because he's good at catching and shooting off of curls.
If Delonte wants to make an impact, he has to start scoring more. When he's shooting the ball quickly and not burning seconds off the shot clock with his stagnant dribbling, he's a valuable weapon.

Doc plays the vets, like OB.

I think for now Delonte is better and that makes sense actually. I think maybe sometime next year Rajon surpasses him but not this year. For one thing it's hard to surpass a guy when Doc gives him all the minutes but even if that weren't the case we have to face the fact that Delonte is capable of averaging something like 14ppg and 6apg if given the chance and that's pretty good for a guy who's not a "true" pg. I'm not sure Rondo can do that this year

Why bench West when he has been producing great numbers for a starting PG? Right now, Rondo can't get his offense going but, i think he's good fit for our second unit.
As I see it, our PG situation is set and we can finally be relieved that Ainge won't draft another PG this year.

Nice to have a "waterbug" coming off the bench and putting energy into a game.

West is not as effective as Rondo coming off the bench.

Rondo is definitely the PG of the future. West has been pretty good lately and very clutch at the end of games. Granted he would better be used as a 2 guard than a PG, but he has been effective. A better question is why has Doc been starting Scal instead of Gomes at the 3?

Gomes brings energy off the bench. It wouldn't be effective, if Scala came off the bench vs. Gomes.
