And despite the fact the Celtics were in the nieghborhood, I did not make the time or effort to go see them. Probably a good thing since I would be heckling Doc Rivers to no end. We'll save that for another weekend. In perusing the standings, the Celtics are amazingly only 1 and 1/2 games out of the Titanic Division lead. Nobody seems to want to step up and take the division, apparently.
Ironically, I think a trade for Antione Walker ought to be considered to wake this team up and while we are at it, make him player-coach.
The Celtics should not be losing games like they are, but Doc Rivers ain't getting the message across. Frankly, I am beginning to sour on Danny Ainge for his personnel decisions - Trades and Resignings of veterans who don't care anymore. His drafting is the only thing saving his skin but that is not enough.

No, continue to let this season be spent on developing players. Gerald Green needs to be getting double the minutes he's been getting in Pierce's absence. Doc is wasting away this valuable time to develop him. We were losing with Pierce, and now that he's out, our chances of winning games are even slimmer. Why not just concede that we aren't going to win many games and give developmental time to Green?
BTW, welcome back, Q.

We are the worst team in the league and need to blow this thing up in a hurry and hope we get lucky in the lottery this spring. Pierce has to be traded for cap ending contracts, and 1st round draft choices. Heck, buyout Theo Ratliffe's and Wally Sczerbiaks contracts if you have to. Then fire Doc and bring in a real coach commited to defense and rebounding and playing Powe and Rondo.

And if buy-out you mean cut them, there salaries would still count against the cap. All cutting them would do is open rostor spaces. THere salaries are worth more than that alone as trade fodder.
