Al at the line and he hits the first. Wally comes back in. He hits the second. I guess we were gaining momentum so Doc had to put Wally back in. Telfair called for a foul. Rondo with a steal and he takes it all the way to the basket and lays it in. Allen misses and Wally comes away with the rebound as it rolls out of the crowd. Tony drives baseline and is hit hard. Tony hits the first and misses the second. Wilcox rebounds. Watson hits a 3 as the SC runs down. Wally misses an open 3 from the top of the arc. Sonics rebound. Ridnour misses and Rondo rebounds. Tony turns it over and Wilcox takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Time out with 3:17 left in the 4th and Sonics up 91-80. You would think that a coach would leave the group on the floor that is playing well and cut the deficit to 6. But not Doc....

Rondo has earned himself a start the next game. He committed 4 early turnovers, but has settled in, but more importantly, has been a factor on the offensive end and in the steals department. Telfair's in a rut right now and Delonte should not be running the team. Give Rondo a start and see what happens.

Perkins should have been playing more in the second half. We've given up a heck of a lot of points in the paint and he would have helped there.

Perkins should have been playing more in the second half. We've given up a heck of a lot of points in the paint and he would have helped there. I agree that Perk and Powe both should have played. We have been giving up a lot of points in the paint in every game on this road trip and they sit on the bench. Al and Perk played very well together tonight but Doc didn't play them together enough.

Celtics inbound on the side. Wally is fouled by Allen with 42.1 left in the 4th. Wally hits both FTs. The clock started too early and they are adjusting the clock Ridnour is fouled immediately on the inbounds pass. He makes the first and Rondo and Telfair out for Perk and Al. He hits the second and time out again called with 41.5 left in the 4th and Sonics up 97-89

No surprise there. Powe should have gotten some time on the court tonight. With Gomes as ineffective as he has been lately, Powe should be given minutes.

Rondo gets the Tommy Award for his play tonight. Once again, Doc didn't have any choice but to play Rondo because West was hurting and was hurting the team the more Doc tried to play him because he just couldn't move very well. If Doc had played Rondo at the start of the second instead of West, we may have won this because his hustle ignites the team. If he had played Powe some in place of Gomes and if he had played Al and Perk more we would have played much better. Tony once again had a great game. He is really coming on.

Doc just said that the first 6 minutes of each half is where we lost the game.... DUH! His starting lineup including West and Wally in BOTH halves just weren't effective. Then he brings in the subs and they make headway and get us back into it and scrap on defense and then what does Doc do but start the same guys who messed up in the first half.

The reason for our slow start is because of Delonte, Wally and Gomes, as well as our inability to push the tempo and get Jefferson some breathing room in the paint.
Delonte is not a PG, Wally is best used when he's being set up for open jumpers (though he's not doing that either, right now) and Gomes--well, see the previous comment on Wally.
Had Doc used Perkins and Powe 15 ~ 20 minutes each, we may have seen a different game. And if Rajon was given 35 minutes, we may have pulled this one out.
