We could have won the game last night against Denver, but Doc made some bad coaching decisions (player substitutions). He needs to play Powe and Rajon more.
I hope Allan Ray plays more tonight with Delonte being out. He showed some positive things last night and I want him to continue getting some burn time.

I agree with you Derren. Al was sick with a cold and we are still without most of our bigs and Powe gets 7 minutes. And it isn't like he didn't play well because in those 7 minutes he had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. He was playing good defense and should have gotten more minutes as he was very effective in the post.
As for Rondo, he was the only PG playing like a PG last night. Rondo had 6 assists and 2 steals in 16 minutes. Telfair had 3 assist and West had 0 assists. I like PGs who pass the ball and who set up teammates for shots. A PG should always lead the team in assists if they are playing like a true point. Rondo took the ball to the basket and took the shots open to him (and made them), but his main focus was getting others set up for the best possible shot. I don't see this in Telfair or West right now because Doc has put too much emphasis on their offense. Doc even had the nerve to say that Rondo gets credit for defense he doesn't play. I have watched him play and he is one of our best defenders. I really don't understand Doc sometimes.

Rajon gets the ball to his teammates in a different fashion than Telfair. Both can be effective, but neither are being given the opportunities to shine. Last night, because we played so many young and inexperienced guys, and because we were playing uptempo a lot more (due to broken plays and fastbreaks), Rajon was able to play his game and create. He suits this very well and he shone brightly last night. Doc should see this and have Rajon and Co. push the ball whenever he's on the court. Rondo is a better penetrator and finisher than Sebastian, and Doc has to run plays for Rajon to go towards the basket. Its useless to have him give up the ball all the time when Rondo can attack the basket and score or dish the ball.
Telfair, on the other hand, makes a better halfcourt distributor because he has the ability to shoot the ball, and that will set up his assists (which I know sounds contrary to what we want our PG's to do, but in our halfcourt offense, this will produce results). Doc has to run pick and rolls with Telfair and the bigs. Telfair can knock down shots whenever his defender goes under the pick, or roll to the basket if his man tries to fight through the pick. Doc is playing him all wrong and has pidgeon holed him into playing a role that doesn't suit his strengths. Telfair is not Delonte West. He's not a conservative PG who passes the ball and waits for a kickout jumper. He needs to be utlized as a PG who can roam with the ball and have numerous options to pass to or to score the basket himself (which is why solid picks by our big men are important).

Delonte is not going to dress and won't play tonight. It will be a game time decision on Friday. Wally tested his ankle in the shoot around and is going to try to give it a go tonight. Perk is definitely going to play tonight as will Kandi.
I won't be able to do play by play for the beginning of the game but will do so as soon as I can.

Clippers hits a jumper with 3 seconds to go in the half. Celtics don't get a shot off. Score at the half is Clippers 55 and Celtics 43. Once again, Doc had a unit in that fought back from a 16 point deficit and he pulled them and that unit didn't play together again.

Clippers inbound to start the 3rd. And once again I have to endure these Clipper announcers. Celtics had 11 first half turnovers and shot only 38% If they could improve in these two areas we may be able to catch up and make a game of this. Maggette misses a jumper and the ball goes over the backboard to the Celtics. Telfair hits a jumper from the FT line. Thomas hits a 3 from the corner. Telfair misses a jumper. Brand with the rebound. Livinston takes it to the basket but misses the layup but is fouled. He hits the first and misses the second. Al grabs the rebound in traffic. We've cut the lead to 9; Al had a driving dunk plus a foul, and has had a couple of offensive rebounds, but did not convert on the last one. Gerald Green has hit some 3s; it would be great if the young stallions could bring us back to a victory tonight.

Oh well, down 17 now. Telfair has missed 3 or 4 layups this quarter alone, and Al's missed several tip shots. Telfair is 5-13 and Al 4-15. Not to jump ship too early, but things are not looking good.
