Celtics inbound on the side. PP gets it in to West. PP takes it hard to the basket but can't finish. Al with the rebound and layup. Richardson misses a 3. Al with the rebound. PP gets the ball and is triple teamed and is practically mugged. No foul called. they call a jump ball. PP should have passed out of the triple team. The refs should have called a foul. Jump ball with .6 on the clock.

The tip is batted around and Celtics don't get a shot off. Final score is Golden State 96 and Boston 95. The refs were terrible and they called it pretty much one sided. On that last play, Pierce was triple teamed and yet he insisted on trying to take the shot. Somewhere there were 2 guys open that he should have passed to.

This loss was blamed on early turnovers and a bad 2nd half break from the zebras who screwed the Celtics time and again. Doc did right by having Allen and West in the backcourt in the 4th qtr.
Unfortunately, Pierce made some bad decisions in the last minute but we should never have been in the losing position in the 1st place.
Nelson outcoached Doc Rivers tonight. Micheal Pietrus and Biedrens were the stars along with Baron Davis. Other than that Jason Richardson and Micheal Dunleavy were both horrible basketball players tonight.

I have been having a hard week at work. My employer has been keeping me there for 11 or 12 hour days. It is tough to come home and see the Celtics brutal 2nd qtr where they fell behind by 10 points at the half and spend the rest of the night trying to catch up. I am not in a very good mood right now.

This can be a tough season, when it comes to work, for many of us. Hang in there Q. We'll get past this... If nothing else, we were in the game enough to make a last shot matter.

I just hate the pattern of poor execution and bad decisions, even by our veteran all-star, during so many of our close games this year. Even our win vs NJ came by Pierce making a low-percentage shot. We will never consistently win so long as our execution breaks down so frequently.

Don Nelson is a good coach. Pierce needs to be quicker getting rid of the ball and more aware in a situation like that. I think he was completely surprised that 4 warriors rushed him when he got the ball on the final possesion.

I kept looking for the Time Out to be called in that situation on the last possestion. Every other team in the league would call a Time Out if they had one. Surely Doc had at least one time out to use in that critical situation.

I don't know if Pierce is to blame for the botched play in the final seconds of the game. As soon as he received the ball in the post, it was like a swarm of GSW killer bees hounding Pierce. He tried all he could to keep the ball from being stripped away from him. He didn't have the space or time to call a time out because they would have stripped the ball away if he didn't crouch down and use his body to shield the ball. With all this happening in a blink of an eye, he was in a very difficult situation and no matter how many times I watch it, I just don't see Pierce doing anything different.
But he did make some bone headed plays in some of our late possessions and I do blame him for that.

I'm pretty disgusted that Doc continues to use Delonte as our backup PG. It NEEDS TO BE RAJON RONDO!!! Delonte is best used as a scorer. He absolutely does not know how to feed the post, and he's making incredibly dumb passes right into the hands of the other team.
And I'm getting pretty frustrated that Jefferson is not getting the ball more often in the early part of the game. Big men need to get going early or else they'll force things when they get the ball later in the game. Guards and PG's touch the ball farily frequently, so getting into the rhythm of the game happens much quicker for them. But post players only touch the ball in the post (high and low) and if they are calling for the ball and don't get it, when they finally do get the ball, they are going to take full advantage of the scarce opportunity and force shots.
Doc had to pull Jefferson out of the game in order to motivate him, but I think it was Jefferson being frustrated a bit for not getting touches early in the game that led to him being a bystander.
