Let's not forget about TA. The emergence of these two guys has been huge. The C's need to get rid of Wally and go with TA and Green. I really like TA in the starting lineup.

Keep Wally, move Pierce. Wally is a much better catch and shoot guy and we'll need that in our run and gun offense that I hope we'll start to see in the future. Green's emergence will lessen the need for Pierce's scoring heroics.
But yes, the emergence of Tony Allen has been much to my delight. He's got a world of talent and athleticism, but for most of the year, he hasn't been able to come through. He was turning everything over. Now he's settling down and not forcing things, and has been producing for us again.

Well Wally gives us taht vet to mix in with TA and Green but once both these guys are ready to play it's going to be tough to get everyone minutes.

We could move West as well.. These are decisions that are tough to make and i'm glad I'm not making them.

Wally seems to be alright coming off the bench. I doubt Pierce will be willing to be a bench player.
What I like about Tony in the starting lineup is his athleticism and ability to guard people. He gives us a slasher who can get us points in other ways instead of just firing away from the perimeter.
Another sleeper guy in the mix, I think, is Allan Ray. Give him time and I think he'll make Delonte expendable.

TA is going off. If we can get TA, Green, Jefferson playing up to their potential with Gomes, Telfair, Rondo, Powe that is a pretty sweet young core talentwise.

Szerbiak the 6th man could be a blessing in the making here.

No doubt about that. And the beauty is that all of these guys are homegrown players. If we win a title, I want it to be with homegrown players (for the most part).
Green's put on a good amount of muscle this season, which is nice to see. His 3pt shooting also has improved (and I thought it was already fine to begin with). The next step for him is to learn how to hold onto the ball better since he always has it poked away. Maybe he's got to protect it better on the way to the basket, or increase his strength in his wrists and hands so that he can absorb the contact and still hold onto the ball.

Szerbiak the 6th man could be a blessing in the making here. Yep. Keeps his knees fresh and he gives us a veteran scorer off the bench. Good deal.

Starters
Telfair Allen Pierce Gomes Jefferson
Bench 6th man-Wally West Rondo Green Scal Perk Powe
Obviously we still have too many players to get everyone time, especially once Rondo, Green, Powe start playing more.
*I'm still not sold we trade Pierce. He plays much better when the team is playing well around him. Just look at him tonight, he's deferring to the team and is very efficient. He has problems when he has to do too much.

Yes, but as long as Pierce is here, Gerald and Tony will have to fight for minutes and we wont' be able to fully utilize Wally either because his minutes will be cut as well.
I think we can absorb the blow of losing Pierce with the emergence of Green, Tony and Jefferson. And once Rajon, Powe and Allan Ray also start to emerge, we'll be even more versatile. I think we are only scratching the surface of how good of an offensive team we can become once we establish our uptempo game. We alreadyseem to have a really good halfcourt offense. Running the ball will be a terrific compliment.

The thread started with "th eemergence of TA has been grear", but i don't consider three games from Al and two from TA as emergernce. Maybe 25 games. Not 3. That's why we can say Gomes has emerged but not Al

Correct me if I'm wrong, but emerging is not the same as establishing. Saying that Al is emerging is not the same as saying Al is establishing himself. He is definitely emerging, as his past 6 games indicate (all starts in place of the injured Perkins). He could finish tonight's game with 30 pts and 10 boards (currently sitting at 24 and 8).
