At one point, our PF spot seemed to be the biggest question mark. But now, it has the making to be one of the biggest bright spots on the team. We have 3 young PF's who could be starting for most teams in the league in the future: Jefferson, Gomes and Powe.
Jefferson has the highest ceiling of the three, and he's even becoming a defensive presence to boot. Gomes may be unspectacular, but he's the dependable, consistent type, and with his range extending out to the perimeter, he'll fit in with any team looking to be uptempo and Phoenix-like. And Powe is showing glimpses of being a physical rebounder and tough interior scorer.
Now is not the time to be wasting away precious time on ball hogging perimeter players. Rivers should be focusing on developing and harnessing our young PF's and incorporating their low post game with the perimeter attack.

When one of them step up as the better-of-three, I will look more at this. As of now, not a big deal. Best to have 3 guys with potential than 3 duds. Now let's see if AJ and Powe get the minutes to prove their worth.

I think Jefferson and Powe are ready and willing to prove their worth, but they don't get the playing time nor the touches to do that.

Keep Jefferson at Center
C - Jefferson - Perkins PF - Gomes - Powe
I like that rotation.

Yeah, JHVOS, I kind of see it that way too. But I want to experiment with Powe starting at PF because he adds shotblocking to the mix (not exactly Gomes' strong suit).

How about Perkins, Jefferson, and Gomes frontline Rondo and Tony Allen in the Backcourt. Woops forgot about Wally, Pierce and Gerald Green - My Bad

Seems clear from t he articles about a possible trade for Iverson that Green isn't going anywhere.
I think at this stage it is a given that AJ is going to be logging a lot of time---may be the majority---at the 1. Inevitable because of health issues with Ratliff (why didn't Aingwe have him in for a physical?) and Olo...
Given Olo's lack of availability, I'd rather DA cut him and sign some big kid like the one he cut just to have some fouls on the bench. While I hope to see Powe get some playing time, I don't want it to be at the 1.

If it makes anyone feel any better it looks now like DA got the best of that trade since Brandon Roy has health problems and Foye isn't playing well at all.

Telfair is still young and theo will only be around for another year. Only thing i probably would've wanted more is Rudy Gay. Can't hurt to have more athletic SF/PF these days. But, Roy will be back and probably put up better numbers than Telfair. I don't know whats up with Foye, maybe he isn't as good as his summer league numbers indicate.

What do you make of Telfair's game last night? 0 points. A couple of assists. BUT the team assist total was quite good. he didn't log a large number of minutes. I think that a big part of the PG role is to get the ball in the hands of other people who can make something happen. At times, that means t hat the other people get the assist???

Telfair (and Rondo for that matter) is not being played right. I keep stating this;both Rajon and Telfair must run the team. Right now, the ball is taken out of their hands and they aren't allowed to create a whole lot for the team. That's why we haven't been a running team yet.
Telfair was wearing some kind of band on his right hand last night. I wonder if he's got some kind of hand injury? His shooting has been off the past few games.

They bring the ball up the court, but then the pass the ball to the high post man. This happens for almost 95% of the plays. They hardly run any picks, or at least run any picks that are designed to do anything. We aren't utlizing Rajon's or Telfair's strengths.
