OK, I have had it with Pierce and his 33 turnovers a game. He is doing nothing for us out there. His exploits have cost us 4 times this year from what I have seen (I missed three games over Thanksgiving).
The team is changing and we have to go to Rondo, Bassy, Green, Jefferson, Perkins, Delonte West, Tony Allen, Ryan Gomes, and Leon Powe as the core group.
We need healthy big men to anchor the defense and right now that happens to be Brian Scalabrine so reluctantly, I have decided to keep him.
We need Perkins to shake off plantar fascitis, unfortunately that might not happen.
So we need to put Pierce and Sczczerbiak on the auction block and get back Big men and draft picks.
We also need to replace Doc Rivers because he is not getting the basketball message across to his troops.
I favor bringing Larry Brown in here to coach because of his proven track record but Wyc Grousebeck may be too cheap to pay off Doc and pay Larry Brown.
So I will scan the trade checker and see what we can acquire in big men.

I think having PP on this team is a lot like if a young Pistons team had had say a Steve Francis on it, and the results are disastrous. PP just has no place on this team. Either lead or don't. It''s really really unfortunate that one of the best assets of the best player that these kids grew up watching - passing - is totally lost on all the PPs of the league. In that regard they are nothing like the Birds, MJ, Magics. They aren't even like the Kareems or McHales. All of those guys could and did pass. Because passing is part of basketball. It's like trying to be a baseball player only trying to hit homeruns and having no ability to hit a good ground ball or throw the ball in from the outfield. Or it's like all those wide receivers who don't block in football. PP is kinda like one of those and it cripples us. I'd trade him for a player who is way better on chemistry but isn't as good. I'd be giddy out of my mind if we could get a Richard Hamilton for PP, TA, and a 2nd rounder.

I think removing Doc would be the first moved that needs to be made.
Then, see what the new coach could do with this squad and if we're getting the same results its time to move Pierce. As much I love Paul Pierce, i much rather have a team playing winning basketball than watch Pierce doing iso all day.
We need change, this team needs it now.

From my observation, we played our best basketball last night with Pierce on the bench. On the flipside, our worst basketball came when Pierce was on the floor and when Delonte played the Point. It was just pathetically slow and ineffective.
Doc needs to be given a fine for sticking with them so long, and for putting Pierce back into the game in the 4th quarter after the young kids made that big comeback. He singlehandedly killed our momentum with his lackluster play, his turnovers and egotistical psyche.
We played our best basketball when the players played with hustle, energy and applied pressure defense. And Pierce wasn't a part of this. I really think its time to move on. He's not happy right now and he'd be better off going to a team who he fits in with better. We're ready to hand our keys over to the kids instead of trying to make it work with Pierce.
