I guess my head is still back in India. LOL
Who starts tonight? Wally is definitely out. Doc says Delonte. Gorman mentioned that West expressed problems shooting over the taller 2's as a reason he preferred to play the point. I have mixed feelings. I think Allen would be effective on defense, but if it is West, we'd get to see more of Rondo.

Delonte should not be playing PG--he's not doing a good job of getting the ball to the right people, and he's reluctant to pass the ball to Jefferson or Gerald, even when he's staring right at at them and they are wide open. He almost always swings it away from them, going right for Pierce, even though Pierce may have a defender right on him. Rajon needs to be reinstated as the backup PG, not Delonte.
On the other hand, in the Toronto game, he proved that he needs to concentrate more on his scoring because when he has the hot shooting hand, like he did that night, we can certainly rock and roll.

i think west is one of those who needs to be traded quickly, his value is decreasing I couldn't disagree with you more. He plays hard nosed every night and has a passion for the game. I would trade Pierce before I trade Delonte West. West will emerge as one of the leaders in post Paul Celtics, just you watch.

Delonte is just playing out of position. He doesn't belong at PG, and Doc has to figure out a way to get him some open looks at the basket.

We have several players playing out of position, or are undersized to play where they are, which is a part of our defensive problems. The issue with West at the two is his hesitancy to get the shot off. There are plenty of open looks, he just either passes them up, or takes too long to decide to shoot. He's also determined to get back his point guard role and is looking for the ball to distribute, not fire up the shots as we'd like to see.

And that's the problem, I think, JB. Delonte is trying to be the PG again, and there are a few occassions the past couple of games where he did not give the ball up to either Rajon or Telfair (whoever was on the court at the time) and instead took the ball down court himself. Delonte is not a PG, but can fill in if we need him to do that. But we don't because we have Telfair and Rajon (and I like what I saw out of Allan Ray). He slows down the pace too much, is not a quick decision maker and isn't physically capable of making an impact as a PG.
He's got to find his niche as a scoring guard off the bench.

What did you think of his bout of "lightheadedness" that kept him out of the starting lineup last night, after he was announced? Could he have calculated that if he started at the two he wouldn't get minutes at the point? Pretty strange.
