I have yet to see one game this year. All I have seen is box scores, but if the losing continues, we need to give Big Al 30 minutes a game and start him at the 4. I believe that he is finally coming into his own.
I love Ryan Gomes as much as the next guy, but he is an undersized finesse power forward, while Big Al is a power player and a true PF. 11 points and 8 boards tonight in 19 minutes?! And he's been doing this night in and night out. We need more of a power game inside, and he can provide that.
You nring Delonte and Ryan off the bench, along with Gerald $ and that's a nice bench right there.

Yeah I don't get what Al has to do. It's like he has to get 14ppg and 8rpg in 14 mins a nite for them to maybe think of considering starting him. i think Powe, GG, and Rondo are in similar situations, and at one point Gomes and Reed were too.

eja you seem to have changed you stance about al not trading him and his p-word anymore? good to see that because al will not be denied this season. even doc will run out of excuses to not play him. it will happen sooner or later

Actually, Gomes is playing well out there. Consider that he's doing most of his scoring on kick out plays and when he crashes the boards for offensive putbacks.
But alas, he's not a post up threat like Big Al, and on a team that has 2 ball dominating perimeter players, there needs to be balance.

I have nothing agaisnt Gomes. I like him. I won't be very surprised if he ends up better than Al. I said I only wanted Al to start ahead of him if he beats him out. I think Al gets hurt too much. I think he didn't show great work ethic, but that this year he has shown some. I think Al is doing very well in limited playing time and deserves a fair shot. But he's not really getting one. This team is going nowhere. We've seen what Gomes can do. Now it's Al's turn cause we haven't really seen what he can do, which is just getting ridiculous.
