You know, we got off to a shaky start, at one point being 1 - 6. But look at the combined record of the teams we've lost to and its possible that we just were outplayed by strong teams.
Hornets 6 - 3, (L 91 - 87) vs. Pistons 4 - 5, (L 101 - 88) vs. Wizards 3 - 5, (L 127 - 117) vs. Jazz 8 - 1, (L 107 - 100) vs. Cavs 7 - 2, (L 94 - 93) vs. Magic 6 - 3, )L 92 - 89)
= 34 - 23 (combined record of the teams we've lost to this season)
The Pistons and the Wizards have a current losing record, but we all know they are formidable teams.
And we're also a pretty new team. Guys like Telfair, Rajon, Powe and Olowokandi are here for the first time and we are counting on them to be regular contributors. And we are shouldering more responsibilties on guys like Gomes, Perk, Gerald and Delonte has to learn how to play a new role with lesser minutes. Guys look like they are starting to understand their roles and getting an idea of what they need to be doing every night.
I want to say that I over-reacted too soon and that we are now starting to play the way we are capable of. I hope our last 2 games are not just an abberation, but rather, a sign of things to come (114-88 W vs. the Pacers and a 118-90 victory over the Blazers).

Our litmus test happens starting next month. It is a good thing that the team is showing excellent progress. I think the Celtics will become relevant in the not too distant future.

Also that 107-100 loss to the Jazz looks better and better for the Celtics. That team has it together. Detriot and Washington are EC playoff teams and we may have to beat one them out to get into the top 8. Miami is in real danger of falling apart - getting waxed by the Knicks on your home court cannot be a good thing.

It's too bad we lost those 3 close games. The other 3 losses particularly to the hornets were just bad. I'm glad to see the C's getting back on track though. We need to beat the knicks tonight. We have been playing good basketball for the past several games win or lose. Earlier in the season I would not say that.
