Celtics inbound on the side. West misses a jumper and the rebound goes out of bounds over the backboard. Ariza drives baseline and is challenged by Perk and draws the foul. He makes the first. Gomes comes in for perk. He misses the second. Turkoglu grabs the rebound. Nelson penetrates on Gomes and lays it in off the glass. Time out with Orlando up 88-84 and 42.6 left in the game.

Pierce lost the rebound to Turkoglu off the missed FT and the subsequent basket has won the game for Orlando. Will somebody please replace Doc Rivers?

Celtics inbound on the side. Wally gets it into Rondo. PP backs into the basket and lays it in. Nelson hits a jumper from the top of the key over Gomes. Magic are up 90-86 and 12 seconds left in the 4th

Nice clutch shot by Jameer Nelson. I like the Celtics team but Pierce played way too many minutes and his mistakes down the stretch cost the Celtics the game. Doc continues to make terrible game management decisions. I am satisfied with the kids games, especially Rondo and Powe. Perkins played a beautiful game tonight. Pierce I guess knocked down a late trey with 2.3 sec but it was too little too late.

Thanks to Doc Rivers, we are proud leaders in the lottery race for Greg Oden. It did not have to be this way. I think we should be 4 and 3 right now. Charlotte, Orlando, Cleveland, and Oklahoma should have been W's. Detriot and Washington clearly beat us. Utah was a 5 on 8 stiff job.

PP inbounds to Gomes and gets it back. PP launches a 3 and misses and Howard rebound and is fouled immediately. 6.6 on the clock and Howard misses the first he hits the second. PP throws a long pass to Wally but Hill breaks up the pass. Celtics inbound PP hits a 3 on a catch and shoot off the inbounds pass. West fouls Nelson immediately. Nelson misses the first. 1.8 on the clock. he hits the second. Inbound pass goes all the way out of bounds as PP couldn't get it. Magic inbound and the game ends with Orlando 92 and Boston 89. Another tough loss. More of Doc's terrible game management. He left Pierce in the entire second half and had him shooting away all game even though his shot is off. He left Telfair on Nelson way too long. He had a unit that was playing very well together in the second and then we didn't see them again. Terrible coaching once again tonight. My bright spot was Leon Powe. 10 points 7 rebounds, 2 blocks in 24 minutes. This kid needs playing time. Perk was also a bright spot... 8 points and 8 rebounds and some good defense on Howard.

Not a good game for Pierce. Rondo, West, Gomes, Wally, Perk, Telfair, Powe all contributed at least which is a good sign. I'm really getting sick of the C's losing close games. One thing is certain is this team runs much better when Rondo and West are in the game.

I say start Powe, seriously.
We freaking are 1-6. We have nothing to lose.
I like Al, but Powe looks as if he plays a lot tougher in the post.
The kid is doing work. He could be our version of Zach Randolph, except not crazy.

I just notices that Tony Allen didn't play... things that make you go hmmmm. After garnering a lot of minutes in past games he suddenly gets none while Pierce is out there bombing away and driving into double teams and dragging around the court. Pierce again leads the team with 5 turnovers. Wally is second with 2. We hear how young we are, but it isn't the kids who are making the most mistakes. I am certain now more than ever, we need a new coach. Right now, I agree with Simmons that the statue of Red would do a better job.
For the positives... Powe is a player. He should have been in there more in the second half. T Perk is improving game by game. West is looking good. Gomes is very solid. Rondo is incredible. I like this kid more and more everytime I see him. He should be our starting PG.

POWE WINS THE TOMMY AWARD!!! (I am standing and cheering here). He should have played more in the second half. He came in and got that second unit going and was playing great and then Doc goes away from him. I swear that Doc doesn't want to win. It is like he sabotages the team. What other coach would leave Pierce in there playing as poorly as he did for the entire second half? What other coach would go away from the players who were playing so well and go back to the unit that was playing poorly? I just don't get it sometimes.

Although, I like Al Jeffs game a lot as I think he can team up with Gomes and Powe as a tough athletic and smart frontline along with Perkins. At this point, I am in favor of trading Pierce and giving the kids a chance to grow together. Who knows, Docs mind will probably be freed up to get creative. Although, it is obvious Doc cannot coach at the NBA level, at least not this team.

Yep, that's what I'm trying to say. This may be the way to go because as long as Pierce is here, Gerald will not develop quickly.
