If he doesn't, then I expect West to start at the 2 again. Key Matchups vs vs The Celtics are coming off of a very heartbreaking loss and it will be interesting to see how they respond. Will they come out with the fire they did in the beginning of the Cleveland game, or like they did at the end? Keys to the Game: Play 48 minutes. We have to learn how to finish games. We play well for 3 quarters and then can't finish. Play Defense. We haven't been able to get stops when we need them. We have been allowing way too many points. We need to put a premium on defense and make that a priority. Limit Turnovers. We are still turning the ball over too much. We have to take better care of the ball. It may be time to see what Powe can do against Howard on the boards.

I should make it home from work just before half-time. Sure would be nice to find the C's with a lead.

Finding the Celts with a lead at halftime isn't so rare... It is keeping it until the end of the game that seems to be the problem.

Dwight Howard eating our front-court alive. That's going to be fun to watch. NOT!
I hope Paul and Wally can explode so we can win in a shoot-out.

Lost in the loss to Cleveland was how well we played in the 1st 3 quarters. We defended well enough and our offense really executed well. I was very happy with the team's performance (Perk, Telfair, Rondo, Gomes, Kandi and Green all played terrifically). We didn't get a single point from Pierce in the 1st half and we were without our other star wing (Wally) and starting Center (Ratliff), but we still played well and built a 25 pt lead. We held Cleveland to just 6 pts in the 1st quarter (anyone know if that's a record?).
This game is going to be another tough matchup for us. We have a hard time guarding good PG's and good big men, and that's what the Magic have (Jameer and Howard).
But I'm still optimistic about this game and I think we'll learn from the Cleveland game and keep improving. I like that Telfair and Rajon are attacking the basket and looking for thier own points. They have the ability to score off of penetrations, and that's something we need them to do. And Doc, please play Gerald more. He's showing some really good stuff out there. Anyone notice that whenever we play Cleveland, anytime Gerald gets on the court, he defends Lebron?

Rondo can defend Jameer.... But Doc probably won't start him and Telfair won't be able to.

I am stuck watching the Orlando feed even though it is a home game and LP has the Boston feed because Orlando is considered a local team here and so I have to watch it on the Sunshine network and my LP is blacked out. UGH!!! I miss Mike and Tommy already as the first thing they were talking about was how Pierce is on Koolaid if he thinks this team is going to pull it together and have a chance at the playoffs.
They are talking about having to play Small Ball against us.
Pierce, Telfair, Wally, Gomes, and Perk starting for the Celtics.

Powe takes it strong to the basket and draws the foul. He hits the first. Misses the second. Orlando rebounds. Turkoglu lays it in. PP curls off the screen and has his shot blocked. Orlando comes away with the ball and Hill lays it in. They are talking about PP not even hustling back on defense and how that is unacceptable. I actually agree with their announcers. Time out with Orlando up 13-4 and 6:34 left in the 1st

Celtics work their way back to a respectable 6 point deficit as Bassy gets his PG game going. However, they have no answers for the Magic halfcourt offense except to cover the few misses. Magic, as expected, look very tough to beat tonight.

Rondo in for Boston. West hits a 3. Rondo knocks the ball away and gets a steal. West with a pass inside to Powe. Darko bothers the shot but Powe gets it back and lays it in. Arroyo traveled. Celtics don't get a shot off as only .2 was left in the quarter. Score at the end of 1 is Orlando 24 and Boston 22. Powe looked good in there. Much better than Scal. Rondo made good things happen when he came in also. Telfair can't guard Nelson.
