Kinda frustrating when you look at the success of these guys now and we were rumored to have been interested in acquiring them. Also is frustrating when you look at Joe Johnson's line last night. Kinda makes you wonder when our guys will break out. Starting to think as long as Doc is here, they never will.

It appears that way, Esco. Doc doesn't allow the young kids to grow. He totally limits their time and he relies on the veterans way too much.

Bassy ran around a little in Cleveland. But I think Rondo should be the starting PG as he set up Perkins and Olowakandi inside. Bassy was good until he missed the layups in the 4th qtr and that cost us the game as well as Pierce having an off night.

I would like it If Drew Gooden would join our team. Heck I might settle for Tyson Chandler as this point. My 1st selection at PF would be Emeka Okafor.

Our youngns have been given plenty of miinutes to prove themselves. Perk, Al, Allen, Gomes, and West have been given plenty of minutes. Its up to them to do something with those minutes.

Also, I am still glad we didnt make a move for any of these guys listed (especially Randolph. He is a team killer). I'd rather see us either blow the team up or stand pat and wait for a KG trade to come along. IMO, trading for the likes of Randolph and co. would trap us in the 40-45 win cycle for the forseeable future.

Perk has probably been given fewer minutes than any of the above. He averaged 3 minutes his first year, 5 minutes his second year, and only 19 last season. Of those 19 much of the first part of the season he was getting around 10-12 mpg and only after Blount was traded at mid season did Perk start to get more minutes and he was responding. Then he hurt his shoulder. This season he is averaging 18 mpg. I don't think that is plenty of minutes for a center to develop. When he finally does get regular minutes, he progresses. But those times have been few and far between.

Last year he got 19 minutes a game, which is plenty of time to prove yourself. And in reagrds to minutes this year, he has no one but himself to blame. When you get 5 fouls in 9 minutes, you don't deserve to be playing big minutes. Perk's performance so far this season has been terrible.

I would generally agree with Fresh that Perk has been given plenty of time. You have to consider what a person does with their minutes. If Larry Bird got 19 mpg what would he have done? He would have proven himself. But if Perk has been given enough minutes than so has everyone else, and also in Perk's defense it's not like Scala has proven himself either yet I saw him playing a lot more minutes than he needed to last year and Raef never proved himself either. Well they proved themselves to be bad and I'm not sure Perk has proven himself bad yet.

You have to consider what a person does with their minutes. Exactly. I'm not saying that Perk is a bad player or anything, but I do think he's been given plenty of minutes to prove himself.

Perk at worst is a defensive specialist.
If you're expecting a double-double from him, your going to get your hopes up.
His role is to be an intimidator not a stat stocker.
