This loss has to be blamed on Doc, his stupid rotations to end the third and start the fourth quarter gave the cavs the game. If you are short handed then you play a short bench and Pierce has to play thru the quarters. You play eight or nine players. Gerald Green, Scalabrine, Tony Allen, Rondo and Kandi playing together was a mistake and it cost the celtics the game. He does this almost every game and every time the other team comes back. He needs to leave some of the starters in the game and not make substitutions like its a freaking hockey game.

Does anyone know why perk didn't get credit for his assists?

We played great as long as Cleveland didn't play any defense and as soon as they started pressing a little we fell apart. We just can't handle defensive pressure. And it seems when the other team plays defense, we stop. This was a terrible loss. We played an excellent 3 quarters and then just totally fell apart.
Delonte wins the Tommy Award tonight. But once again we are left to discuss the positives we can find in a loss.
We faced this last season with injury after injury and it seems it has started again. Al's appendix, Telfair's bronchio thing last night. Wally with his bruised butt, Theo with is chronic back. I think it is time to put Theo on the IL again and give Powe a chance.

OK, we lost. Cleveland finally woke up and had to expend every last bit of energy to win that game. I guess my only complaint this night is that we could not continue to make shots like we did in the 1st three quarters. Cleveland is one helluva team and they are my pick to go to the NBA Finals this year. Pierce had a lousy game and still almost won it for us at the buzzer with a miracle heave. Bassy is not a pass first PG, he is looking to finish. The Celtics are getting better as the games go by so I think this season is still worth watching.

Cleveland can be exposed with Postups and quick PG's and for three qtrs were by the Celtics.
I don't blame Doc for this loss. I can only blame Lebron James, here. Doc had the right idea. Its just that the shots were not made by the Celtics in the 4th qtr.

Good to see everyone tonight. Try to stay positive, if you can. Let's take the next step forward and see if the sun comes up in the AM.
Not a good night in C-Land.
Peace to you all...

My bright spot was Perk. He is playing better and better and came up with a double double tonight with 12 points, 11 boards and 2 blocks.
It is time to give Powe a chance but Doc would have to get his head out of his nether regions in order to realize that the kid has talent. The two games he played him in, he came up big for us and then we haven't seen him play again. I have a feeling that if Telfair didn't have trouble breathing last night, Rondo would still be on the bench too. We so need a new coach for this team. We are wasting a lot of talent with a coach who doesn't know how to use it.

I wonder if Bassy and Tony Allen wind up being showcased for a trade. Maybe Indiana would give us Jamaal Tinsley for those two.

How much longer does Doc get? People can say he's dealing with a young team, but that is no excuse imo. IMO if you are a good coach it doesn't matter if you are dealing with young players or old if you have the talent which I think Doc has at this point. I'm not expecting a miracle worker out of Doc here. He has good young players, we are 1-5. That is inexcusable. From the looks of it, we haven't improved at all from last year, if anything we are losing the close games again.

This has been a disappointing season, and the weaknesses from last year don't seem to be any better. As flceltsfan points out, Perkins did have his second strong game in a row (10-4-4 vs Utah and 12-11-2 tonight), so maybe there are some baby steps being made, but you have to wonder when all things will start to sink in with this team. I initially felt Doc should be given the rest of the year to work things out, but if things keep going so horrible he should resign, IMO. I'm having de-ja-vu to his final year in Orlando.

Too much bad coaching for me to handle.
Sorry but Doc has to go. No excuses for losing a 25 pt lead.
