Over the years, there were a lot of funny comments Red has made.
One came as Lenny Wilkins was breaking his record for wins by a coach. I guess it was reported that Red was going to fly in to be there in attendance for that game (it wasn't at Boston). But he ended up not being there for that game, and the reason was he wasn't feeling well. So Jackie McCullan called to ask Red how he was feeling, and he told her he was fine. He wasn't sick--he didn't see the point in being at the game where his record was going to be surpassed, and especially not when it took Lenny 8 more years than him to reach that mark.
That's just Red being Red ;D

I agree with Red. I also don't see the point of showing up to watch a coach who has like, what, 9 rings less.

Red was a very arrogant man. Luckily for us, he had earned his arrogance.

I liked Red. He was a wirebrusher right to the end.

I like the one he made to McHale. When he told Kevin he drafted him because he thought KM was good. It was time for practice and Red told him to show him he was right... No beating around the bush, just show me what you have.
Not a quote, but you might get it anyway.
