Here's the schedule for the 1st ten games of the season:
vs. Hornets vs. Pistons @ Wizards vs. Bobcats vs. Jazz @ Cavaliers vs. Magic vs. Pacers vs. Blazers @ Knicks
We have an early homecourt advantage, as we play 7 of the 1st 10 games in Boston. Hopefully we can get a good jump on the season and start off with a solid win/loss record.

I would like to be just swimming in a kool-aid ocean and think we are gonna get a good start going, but I think it may be at the half that we really see us gel.
I'm even saying this with the passing of Red in mind. I am also going by our preseason. I will venture to guess we go 4-6 to start.

If we want to have any kind of success this year in the W/L column, we have to take advantage of the weak schedule we have at the beginning of the season.

10-0 if you're Red.

I would love to see this team rally behind Red's death. But, I have to see it to believe it.
I'm expecting 5-5 after 10 games.

At Wizards and At Cavs should be our only two losses. We start 8-2. We really need a hot start and the guys should be motivated.

i have to go with 5-5 after ten games. Some of the teams we are facing i expect to be alot better than last year for example new orleans, orlando and even the bobcats since they seem to give the celtics a hard time with guys like Gerald Wallace and Okafor inside.

I'm in between how Beefy feels and how the rest of you feel. The guys may be playing with extra mustard, just because of Red passing away, so they may have a stronger will to win. But some of those teams aren't easy wins like they used to be. The Magic are on the rise, just like us. Darko and Howard are tough to stop inside. The Hornets are an improved team, and they were playing like a playoff team for majority of last season. The Bobcats are going to be better. I'm a big Raymond Felton fan, and we all got to see what he's capable of doing in the second half of last season, and now they have Okafor back and healthy. The Pacers are certainly tough, as well as the Cavs, the Pistons, and the Wizs.
Not being a homer on this one, I say 6 - 4, possibly 7 - 3 if we can steal one from either the DET, WAS, IND, or CLE.

By the way the hornets are going to be a playoff team this year. They made some pretty good moves this offseason by signing Peja. He will fit in very well with Chris Paul and also David West who played very well last year. They also traded an aging veteran in P.J. Brown but got a young defensive center in return in Tyson Chandler. I believe they can take Memphis spot in the playoff since Pau Gasol is going to be out for a while.

I can wait for Pau. That's why I picked up Boozer.

I am hoping we have a new coach at the end of 10 games. So a 0-10 start will do great. We get a new coach, and maybe Oden On the other hand, I would love a 8-2 start. But that would mean Doc stays. So I am torn.

Good to see you back and at full "sprash98" force again Prash. I like the 8-2 side of your thoughts...

One team I'm expecting the Cs to fare better against this year is the Bulls. Was watching part of their opening with the Lakers. one of their little guards was running circles around Payton. Bulls gave Cs trouble last year. They would have what looked to be a 3 man roll out front with quick guys, and at some point, one of them would drive into the lane for yet another layup. A 3-some of rondo, Telfair, and Allen should put a stop (somewhat) to that crap.
