Tommy made an interesting point last night about roles, and what roles guys are going to play when different people are in the game. I think this is as important as the rotation considering the roster juggling Doc is going to have to do, with all the good players the C's have. He basically made a point about Rondo should be the pg when both he and Telfair are in the game, because Rondo is more of a penetrator, distributer, and Telfair is the better shooter. The same goes for West for that matter. You could tell Rondo was struggling last night because he was playing more off guard and he isn't a shooter. Telfair would penetrate and kick to Rondo and Rondo would try to make something happen off the dribble and so on. One play however, Telfair did the same thing for West, he penetrated kicked to West who penetrated and kicked to Telfair for the wide open 3. It was a great play. If anything it's going to be so fun to watch this team because of all the good passers we have. Delonte as an off guard is a great asset to have. He made several great passes and pg plays, took off a few times with steals and lead the break, from the sg spot which is a great thing. Plus he can shoot and score himself.

West = Better defensive version of Cutino Mobley.

That's actually a good comparison for West.

That's who experts compared him to. Cat is more aggressive with his own shot, but yeah, the comparisons are on the mark.

Tony Allen and West will both benefit huge from Telfair and Rondo's pass-first mentality. The combination of Rondo and Allen can easily change the pace of a game.

Hey there, Jenkins. I agree, a defensive backcourt of Rajon and Allen will be able to get quite a few steals. They should be able to alter the tempo of the game defensively. Other players who will work well with Telfair and Rondo are Wally and Gomes. Basically, anyone who is willling and able to knock down shots on kick out plays will benefit from these 2 PG's.

I sure hope they do more than kick out for jumpers. I hope we get a lot of slashing to the basket for jams in the paint.

Welcome j22. Hope to see more posts from you. I believe the running stile will help most of our players. We are deep at SG/SF and can keep fresh-legs on the court...
