I really liked the article in the Herald this morning saying how much Pierce likes Powe
Powe's nicknames were The Show in college and The Grown Man in Summer League and now Pierce gives him a new nickname
G-Unit as in Gorilla Unit.
I love that he asked the refs if the floor was ok when Powe went down hard.
I also love the fact that in another article, Doc is running end of game plays for Powe.
And another thing... the NY Post says that getting Powe from Denver may be one of the biggest hijackings in league history.
I love this kid. He is everything this team has needed for a long time. When he enters the game, the whole team seems to have more energy.
I know it is early and he hasn't played in a regular season game, but toughness like he has and his tenacity on the boards will transfer into the regular season.

I liked the other nickname mentioned in the article--"criminal". Not exactly the term you'd want to use in light of Telfair incident in NY, but I think its a catchy nickname and it fits him.

I agree, "The Criminal" is the best nickname. It's fitting of his game. Just rugged, and no nonsense. He is a tough guy on the court, that's for sure. It's ironic because off the court, I hear he is a nice guy, and an upstanding citizen. When he steps onto the court the gloves come off though. I like the fact that he pushes the other 4's to keep up their intensity. If Al doesn't watch out Powe could eventually take his spot. I particularly love the quote, "it's not what I can do but what Doc needs me to do." That's almost Auerbachian.

Its starting to to look like Jefferson and Powe can become the
"PARTNERS IN CRIME" brothers!!!
These guys are playing fantasitcally off the bench with their rebounding and scoring. They can give us a boost off the bench and energize the tempo.

I particularly love the quote, "it's not what I can do but what Doc needs me to do." That's almost Auerbachian. It seems like Ainge has assembled quite a few guys with that kind of attitude. I've heard a lot of that kind of stuff when listening to different guys on the team of late.
