Knicks inbound on the side. Richardson makes a strong move to the basket and hits a layup. Gomes misses a jumper. Balkman rebounds. Lee with an alley oop from Richardson. Breem passes up a 3 and moves in and misses a jumper in the lane. REbound goes out of bounds off Boston. Marbury misses a layup. NY recovers the rebound. Shot clock violation on NY. Rondo brings it up. Nice ball fake and drives to the basket and lays it in. Balkman misses and Gomes rebounds. Rondo takes it to the basket and lays it in once again. Richardson is fouled as he goes to the basket. Richardson hits the first. Misses the second. Balkman tips in the miss. Rondo takes it to the hoop once again and lays it in. Marbury misses and Richardson rebounds. Lee with a layup. Time out with NY up 110-105 39 seconds left in the game Boston ball when play resumes.

Rajon with 3 consecutive layups. If this kid was a selfish player, he'd be putting up 20 ppg. Well, between him and Telfair, we have to excellent penetrating and finishing PG's.

They are playing tentatively on offense. They are passing up shots and it seems that at times no one wants to shoot. They have been a step slow on defense all night too. NY has gotten way too many easy baskets.

Rebounding is killing us. We gotta shore up our rebounding. It was the same sad story last season. We aren't going to win many games if we keep losing the rebounding battle. Doc needs to realize this and get our big men in there.

Ray into Rondo who passes to Gomes. Gomes misses a jumper. Rondo rushes in for the rebound but couldn't hit the put back. Rondo fouls out. Balkman to the line. Balkman hits both FTs. Time out with NY up 112-105. 26 sec on the clock

Celtics inbound Ray misses a 3 and NY rebounds. Crawford fouled by Al who fouls out. He hits both FTs. Green hits a 3 on a catch and shoot. Celtics foul to stop the clock. he hits both FTS. Allan drives to the basket and dishes to Akingbala who is fouled. he misses both FTs, Green gets the rebound but misses the put back.
Final score is 116-108.
Perk had 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Al had 6 rebounds but played only 9 minutes. Doc is pushing this small ball too much. Sure we are quick, but can't run if we don't have the ball. We did have some defensive breakdowns and gave NY way too many easy baskets. We seemed tentative on offense, especially that one lineup that Doc went with most of the 2nd where Wally seemed to be the only one who could hit a shot.

Rondo was once again amazing with 14 points 4 rebounds 7 assists and 3 steals. he doesn't play like a rookie. He made that one slam on the put back and then had the presence to steal the inbound pass. This kid is our best PG by quite a bit. There are lots of positives in the players. Perk was good on the boards and blocking shots. Al played well other than missing a couple of shots in the lane but doc didn't play him long. Rondo is amazing. But Doc's rotations leave much to be desired and when a group isn't doing well he leaves them out there too long. I keep hoping it is just because it is preseason, but I have a terrible feeling that he do the same things in the season. He has this thing against giving Perk and Al minutes and he plays small ball without any rebounders way too much. Once again, Powe didn't get any playing time. Doc doesn't like rebounders....
Rondo once again wins the Tommy Award...

Ok Jefferson Did not had q great offence game he miss easy shot he could had made maybe all that Weight has him off balance one thing for sure his jump is better and his quickness as For the loss don’t worry is just preseason nothing big is just river looking to see who Play don’t put too much in these game perkin is a hard worker nice game wally got His mechanic back the boy can hit does jumper like what l see from are team the bad was Sometimes Cs play just give too many easy basket to the knicks the did not get back on defense way too many back to rondo l been watching at nba basketball for 26 years l gues After all does years you know when a kid has that magic touch

Ifd one ignores Ray's 1-11, the Cs shot a nice percentage tonight. And they shot 75% at the line.

Cs had 9 Steals, Knicks 4.
Cs had 14 TOs, Knicks 19.
pretty good performance in those 2 areas.

Yes, we have cut down the amount of TO's we commit the past 2 games. But the trend of being outrebounded continues.

Looks like both Perk and AJ hit foul trouble (per box score, Perk had 5 fouls and AJ fouled out). They need to work on positioning themselves so that they won't need to foul as often, plus we need Gomes to come up big on the glass as well. Plus having Pierce back in the lineup will help our rebounding from either the 2 or 3.
My hope is that Doc has a good feel for who his bigs will be and is just trying to sort through which wing players to play.

Rebounding is going to be weak when Doc goes "small ball."
wish I knew more about why Jones was expected to be one of the cuts.
