I am getting really excited for the season to start. With an eye toward the first games I have a couple of questions.
Last season I did game threads with the matchups and keys to the game etc. before the game. Then on game night, I did play by play on the thread. I always hoped it would help those who couldn't watch the games and maybe draw in new members who couldn't watch games. But if everyone here gets the games then it wouldn't be necessary to do a play by play.
Before the season starts I wanted to check to see whether or not these were beneficial or wanted.

flceltsfan12,, I love your game threads and play by play. Very astute observations. In Mich , we only actually catch a few live games each year, but your efforts really help me keep in touch with how the team is doing. please keep up the good work. thanks, Rick

Good to see you, LongTimeFan. And good call, Esco--FL is definitely Mike Gorman (which is a compliment).
FL, I appreciate your play by play, but always felt bad that you had to do it. Usually when I watch games, I'm glued to the television and will only post periodically because I don't want to miss anything (unless we are being blownout). But you do an incredible job and include so much detail that I imagine it takes away from your actual game watching experience.
But if you are down for it, we say thank you very much. I'll try to pitch in when I can. But most likely, I'll be giving my game thoughts hours after the game is over or possibly on a later day.
Hey, maybe we can keep score of "FL Point" (spin off of Tommy Point). FL, maybe you can give your FL Point to the player you think was the most important player in game (though we must put a limit on the amount of FL Points you give to Perkins in a season).

I like the game action from the NBA and I normally by they audio package just to listen to Max.
Quack-Quack! ! !
I like to listen to the radio feed and join in on the fun at CG at the same time.
NBA needs to lower the price IMO.

Good idea DM. Or better yet, maybe Fl can come up with her Fl award for the player of her choice for each game....

Yes, as long as she spreads the award to other players too, and not only Perkins ;D
We can also put up Celtics Green's player of the week awards too. Maybe we can have a voting process and we'll vote for the player we think should be the POTW.

Thanks for the votes and comments. Glad you enjoy the threads and the play by play. I enjoy doing them but didn't want to overstep if no one wanted them. Last season, I did the play by play and Q chimed in with the color and gave out Quinny points. Not sure if he would want to do that again this season. I think the player of the week poll would be a great idea. And while I love Perk and feel he will get his share of POTWs this season, I think I can be impartial... Season is almost here... Can't wait!!!
