"The problem IS that all of our contributors of a 33 win team are back. This is a MAJOR problem that Ainge has again ignored."
Let us compare who is not walking through that door to who is -
Not Walking through that door - Blount, RD, Justin Reed, Raef, Banks, Orien, Dickau, our 7th pick.
Who is walking through the door this year - Zerby, Telfair, Rondo, Ratliffe, Powe.
Who figures to get better - Perkins, Gomes, Jefferson, and Gerald Green.
We have Pierce and Delonte West.
Why can't the Celtics improve over last year?

Amen, Q. We certainly should have been better than 33 wins last season. But injuries to Allen and Jefferson (and even Banks), both who were supposed to be key contributors after their impressive rookie seasons, hurt us right out of the gate. Our backup PG was Orien Greene. Not to blame Orien for anything he did, but he just couldn't run the offense at all.
We weren't a deep team, simply because we were an injury riddled team (Dickau, Banks, Tony, Jefferson). And though Delonte played the best he could, he simply is not a PG who could create offense for his teammates.
Now, we have real PG's, now we are healthy, now our young players are growing, maturing, and deveoping their games, now we have a legitimate second scoring option who actually compliments Pierce and not duplicate him (Wally). Now we have a veteran shot blocking presence. Now we have a big man coach who should help our big men improve.
Unless we face another year of injuries, we should definitely be better than 33 wins. Most likely in the mid 40's and possibly even in the high 40's.
