Thanks, Fresh. This interview with Al was a month ago, was it? Wow, he's skinny. His arms are still on the skinny side, but there's more tone and some definition now.
Wally's face looks slimmer from last year.

Al doesn't need to get too bulky or it'll start to affect his shot. I don't remember good shooters to have high definition arms. Jefferson is where he needs to be which is around 250 lbs so he can stay with the lighter generation pfs int he nba.

But he's a bit too skinny right now. I know it doesn't affect Chris Bosh so much, being so skinny as a big man, but he and Al play the game differently. Bosh relies on his jumper a heck of a lot more than Al, while Al goes to the basket a lot more than Bosh.
But here's where being lighter gives Al an advantage. Because he faces the basket a lot, and drives to the hoop, being lighter makes him even quicker blowing by his man, and he was already beating his man to the basket pretty easily last season. And Al even mentions that he can get up higher now, and this helps him get closer to the rim when he attacks the hoop.
But adding some upperbody strength is crucial for players who play in the middle. A lot of bumping and bruising goes on in the paint, and if Jefferson is going to finish plays after contact, he'll need to have the strength in his arms to do that.

Al is gonna outrun a lot of opposing PFs if we do commit to the running game.

Al was already outrunning opposing PF's, and that was when he was heavier and not in top physical condition as he appears to be now. This could be an exciting season for Jefferson.

Al was able to outrun the opposing PFs but he really lacked conditioning. After about 15 minutes in the game he was huffing and puffing pretty bad. That won't be a problem this season as he has worked on conditioning all summer long.
