I keep hearing people say this incredibly dumb thing where apparently the idea is that "Powe could fill the role of Gomes" in case we trade Gomes. Pitts is supposed to fill the role of Raef, and Allan Ray fills Delonte's role?
Are these people insane? These people are totally unproven. Maybe they think Oriene Green is going to come walking through the door and beat out Delonte still. Gomes wasn't even supposed to fill the role Gomes fills. Since Gomes has beat out Al J for now if anything Powe needs to fill the role of Al first and nobody is saying that.
There is a reason Pitts and Allan weren't drafted. Pitts can't yet do the good things Raef used to do whatever that was.

Right now, Gomes is predicted to be the starting PF I can't see Powe coming right in taking that spot over him. Like you said, he needs to prove himself before we label to be the successor of Gomes if ultimately Ryan Gomes gets moved.
Pitts will not be anything more than a Bruno Sundov type player. A big guy who can hit an occassional three but nothing more than that. There was a reason he wasn't drafted. Far as Allen Ray goes, hes definitely a good shooter but he doesn't do the type of things that DW can do i.e. play solid defense, make big plays, or be able to be effective on both ends of the floor for 30+ minutes per game.

True, Gomes is a 4-year player, vs. Powe, is a 2-year player. Though, never underestimate a player's desire to exceed.
