Does Ainge have a deal in place already? I am starting to wonder. He keeps repeating the same thing ever since the draft night trade. "I want to make another deal, a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1. We have too many young players that play the same position. I will not do a deal to just make a deal. I want a good deal."
Does anyone think that he already has a deal in place (Ratliff) but is waiting until he is able to make the trade (August 28th)
I have heard several posters talk about the fact that Ratliff has never been introduced and really hasn't been talked about much. Will Danny trade him for someone else who can help us out at the 4 or 5, most likely the 4.
I honestly do not know, but I do know that having Clifford Ray AS WELL AS Theo would do wonders for teaching Perk and Al how to be better defenders, rebounders, shotblockers, etc. He would seem like the perfect tutor. At one time he was the best defensive big man in the league, and got his Sixers to the Finals with the help of AI.
I still think that GP had a great influence on Delonte and some of the other youngens for that 1 year that he was here.
Is Danny going to try and acquire Kenyon or Boozer or someone, who knows but it is something to think about.
One thing is for sure with the resigning of Nene and the trade for Joe Smith, Kenyon (and his contract) is a man on his way out of Denver.
Boozer would look good too in green putting up 17 and 9 and forming a nice tandem this year with PP.
Also, trading Theo for a 4 would make us very thin at the center spot. Then again, if we are in fact playing small ball, DA and Doc will probably have a 4 playing a lot of 5.
So many tough decisions for DA......
