I briefly considered Gomes, but i'm going with Perk cause of his size and lack of centers in this league. And his attitude. Then maybe I'd have to face reality and go for GG over Gomes, then maybe a tie between him and Rondo. Then Sebastian.

It is no secret that I love Perk. I really think he has what it takes to be a dominant center in the league and I believe he will one day make the HOF after a very solid career and a couple of championships in Boston....

Perk changes the tempo of the game through his defense. Most of the other guys we could live without. Perk on the other hand makes us look like a bunch of school girls under the boards.

Probably either AlJeff or GGreen. It helps to be a big-time scorer if you want HOF credentials, and these two have the most offensive skill.

I may be in the minority here, and I'm not trying to demean anyone's opinion--but I just don't have the same high opinion of Perk that a lot of you have. Honestly, I do like his tremendous work ethic (as seen how hard he has worked to transform his body and improve his game) as well as the hustle he puts out on the court. I really appreciate these things and wish more of our players put in this type of effort. But aside from these things, I think he has the ability to be a really solid big man, but not HOF material.
I think he and Delonte West are in the same boat. Tremendously hard working fellas with the heart of a lion, but missing that "uumph" to take them to the highest level. They are overachievers in the truest sense and they should be awarded for the effort they put out day in, day out. But they lack certain things in their games to make them great (and that's what it will take to get them into the HOF).
FL12 and the rest of you diehard Perkins fans, please do not take offense to my comments because I honestly am not trying to criticize your opinions. I realize that we all see one thing or another in a different perspective. I am trying my best to word this so that I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Its certainly not that I think Perkins is trash, but just that I view him as a really solid big man down the road.
**Please give me a 10-second running start before throwing tomatoes at me ;D

I def. dont think perk is HOF material(I dont think any of our player are HOF material, but thats another story). We'd have to win a ton of titles, and Perk would have to become the greatest rebounder of our generation to make the HOF.

Oh derren! After everything I said about AL J you can trash whoever you want (except Bird. Let no man trash Bird).

That is what I love about CG... Everyone can have their own opinions... Eja very obviously doesn't like Big Al. Derren is luke warm on Perk... But you voice your opinions on the players and not on the posters who disagree. I love Perk and still have high hopes for Al, Green, Gomes, Powe, West, Allen, Jones, and pretty much anyone except Scal and Pittsnogle... I really don't have any used for a Center or PF who doesn't rebound. But I can see the point made by both Eja and Derren on the other side and have to respect their opinions. It is just that some of us drink more Koolaid than others.... Time will tell what each of these players will become and there is no way of knowing for sure right now how things will go. That is why each of us evaluates them differently. But Eja is right on one point... Bird is special and there is no question or debate.... Never trash Larry Legend...

But if he was 147 why was he guarding Bird? That would be like michael Finley trying to guard D Wade.

So if you get beat you take your beating like a man, not punch the dude like a little (censored). And go to the bench with a shred of dignity and come off the bench. Get 6th man. granted Bird trashed talked him all day and showed no respect to his elder, but i don't think Dr J would have done that if it weren't for a few other darker reasons.
