Indeed! Now, imagine if he had speed, athleticsm, and jumping ability! Ah but I digress who needs all that when you have talent, will, finess, sportsmanship, unselfishness, intuition, passing ability, court vision, work ethic, accuracy, consistency and *breathes in* and so much more. Did I mention he is quite the looker!?

Yep, he's the reason why I'm a fan of the Celtics. I caught him only at the very tail end of his career, but having seen him in his prime in so many highlights and so many game clips of him in his younger days, its fascinating to see how real basketball players play the game. Its not all about the fancy ball handling, or the fancy dunks, or all that other stuff players nowadays try to put an emphasis on. Its about just going out and playing the game the right way. He was a joy to watch, even if he wasn't a Dominique Wilkins or Michael Jordan.

That was an insane video. There were like 5 plays in the video that were impossible. It's unbelieveable that Dr. J couldn't even defend him. I personally think Jordan couldn't hold a candle to Bird and Magic. People ought to realise that Jordan played in an era that just wasn't that good.

The interesting stuff about that video was that Larry B was the last great white star other than Stockton, and they played Eminem music. The part that is ironic is that Eminem is like "everybody doubted me, but if I was so bad how could I raise a little girl". The irony being that Bird had a girl out of wedlock and pretty much never talked to her or about her to anyone. I wonder what happened to her. She was on Operah I think. She had a good jump shot. karma to anyone who can find out cause I already looked.

Picture in 1998 Picture now. Larry was married to Janet Condra, the mother of his daughter, for just under a year. His daughter was born in August of 1977 after they were already divorced. So technically she wasn't illigitimate. He suported her financially but never really had contact with her. From Bird's book Drive: "We ended up getting a divorce. One day after the divorce went through, Janet came over and said that she wanted to get back together. We did try it again - one more time - but it only lasted a few weeks. As it turned out, it was during those last few weeks together that Janet got pregnant. That really put a lot of pressure on me to stay with her, but no matter how I tried to figure it out in my mind, I just couldn't live with Janet any more. There was no question that I had made a mistake. I really felt bad about it, especially since, where I come from, divorce is considered to be about the worst thing that could happen. That was a very rough time in my life, what with my father's death, changing colleges, and the entire marriage/divorce /baby situation. I remember thinking, 'What's going on with my life?' We had a little daughter, Corrie, who lives with Janet outside of Terre Haute. I can't honestly say that I've had that much to do with her life because of my differences with Janet. I think about Corrie all the time, but what can I really do now? I can't go back and relive the first five or six years of her life. Corrie is a fine and beautiful young lady. Her mother has done a great job of bringing her up in the best way possible. Corrie is also very athletic. She's good at everything she does and I'm really proud of her. To tell you the truth, I've never really known how to handle the situation, but I love her and anytime Corrie needs anything, I will be there for her." Here is what I found about her now... She is 29 years old now. She graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked on her masters degree in School Counselling at ISU until 2001 and is 3 semesters short of her degree. She is currently at Ivy Tech State College going for an associates degree in business administration. Her goal is to complete her Bachelor's Degree in 3 1/2 years then work towards a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration and eventually become a hospital administrator. I guess that is about it...

Omg. That is unbelieveable. I thought she'd play college ball. She's hot. Karma if any of you guys marry her. I think the guy in Derby KS is closest. Or maybe C17 in Iowa.
