Can Gerald Green be Scottie Pippen to Pierce's Jordan? I know Pierce is not Jordan but I'm starting to think if Ainge can put a better supporting cast around those two guys we could see a really good team here. Nevermind dumping all the youngsters to get a big name player. We already have one in Gerald Green. If anything trade Wally, Allen and filler for a guy like Boozer or Gooden to give us some more muscle in the paint. And open up PT for Green.
Telfair, Rondo Pierce, West Green, Gomes Jefferson, Boozer/Gooden Perkins, Ratliff
is way too many players to get them all time, but it is possible.

I don't know if Gerald fits in as a sidekick type. He's like Pierce in that he's more of a 1st option type of guy (or at least he has that type of mentality).
I do think that a wing tandem of Pierce and Green could be fantastic. They will learn to feed off of each other.

We could have Gomes start until Green is ready, and do the same with Boozer/Gooden and Jefferson. Bring Al off the bench for now. This might entice Boozer or Gooden to come here if they can start initially, but once we have them and Jefferson is ready then they would be moved to a roleplayer off the bench.

Right, Green is primarily a scorer, but I'm not sure if he is the better scorer of the two. Pierce is the better all around player imo ultimately was my point. Gerald I think would have to play a sidekick role to Pierce imo... I think Gerald is a 20 point scorer in this league and on this team. Pierce is a 25-26 point scorer with better all around stats. Jefferson could put up anywhere from 16-18 points a game. Those 3 guys would be our main scoring options. 1, 2, and 3. With Telfair distributing and also able to score. Maybe 15 a game. And Perk being the 10-12 point guy. Then we would have some serious guns off the bench as well in Rondo, West, Gomes, Gooden/Boozer, and Ratliff. Same sort of scenario. That's a really good 10 man rotation. And then we have Scalabrine and Ray as our guys to warm the bench. Ray for instant scoring sometimes. And Scal to eat some fouls.
