Not including Brian Grant, we have 15 players on the roster as we speak. Rank them in the order in which you list your most favorite Celtic at the top, and your least favorite at the bottom (or rank them however you want to categorize them).
1. Gerald Green 2. Paul Pierce 3. Rajon Rondo 4. Tony Allen 5. Sebastian Telfair 6. Al Jefferson 7. Delonte West 8. Ryan Gomes 9. Kendrick Perkins 10. Wally Szczerbiak 11. *Dwayne Jones 12. *Allan Ray 13. *Leon Powe 14. Theo Ratliff 15. Brian Scalabrine
*Unknown commodity
For my list, I ranked them according to the "wow" factor. Or how much they can make me say "wow" . Some guys can make me say "wow" with their scoring ability, or their rebounding ability, or their passing ability, or their defensive ability, etc. The more they can make me say "wow", the higher I rank them.
For instance, Perkins' rebounding and defense is pretty impressive. But I rank Ryan Gomes a slot ahead of him because of how effective Gomes is scoring under the basket when he receives bullet passes. His garbage scoring, basketball IQ, and rebounding ability all make me say "wow". This is certainly not to say that Perkins doesn't wow me. But Gomes wows me in more ways.
Now, many of you woldn't have Rajon Rondo so high on your lists. But I rank him #3 because this guy practically amazes me on every play. If its not his defense, is his slick ball handling. If its not his precise lazer passes, its his penetrating ability. This guy does so many things that wow me.
I'm sure each and every one of us will have a different ranking of players, and I'm interested in seeing how you all rank them.

Now that Banks and Blount are gone, I dont mind any of the current C's. i guess I'd rather see Perk and Al develop more than the rest, because I want the C's to be good again, and to get some talented bigs would make us a much better team real fast.

it's extremely hard to rank favorites, , but I will do my best.
1. Perk 2. Pierce 3. Green 4. West 5. Gomes 6. Jefferson 7. Telfair-could change dramatically depending on how good he is 8. Rondo-Same thing. both he and telfair are too new 9. Allen-loved TA in college at OSU. His rep has taken a hit though 10. Ratliff-Theo is a good pickup 11. Szerbiak 12. Ray 13. Power 14. Scalabrine 15. Dwayne Jones
I could change these rankings about a 1000 times. I've edited this a few times already...

I did this in order of who I would least like to see traded or in order of who is helping us and our future most to who is holding us back, or the order in which I would hope they would walk away alive from a plane crash, God forbid that ever happen (when your team had Len Bias you HAVE to think of these things)
1. Perk 2. Gerald Green 3. Gomes 4. D West 5. Rondo 6. Wally 7. Telfair 8. Powe 9. Allan Ray 10. Dwayne Jones 11. Theo Ratliff 12. Tony Allen 13. Scala 14. Al J 15. PP

funny thing i just to start similar thread. but i was thinking more about our youngsters and their p aka "the-word-that-makes-eja-shiver-of-horror-and-regurgitate" so my point is of who's least expendable of the youngsters. 1. gerald green - could be even bigger draft day steal than paul pierce was. i'm not saying he's going to be, but the guy has so much talent it's unbelievable. he has also tremendous work ethic and that something charizmaric that separates superstar player from just a great player. if danny trades him he will regret this day for the rest of his life 2. al jefferson - another big time talent. while he has had his share of injuries you can safely say that he's learned for them. and good players learn from everything. he has also vastly improved his work ethic, which is probably kendrick perkins effect. i expect really big things this season and i know that everyone does. the best thing about it is that he does himself as well 3. sebastian telfair - while i agree that it's too early to put him this high we cannot deny his talent. point guards like him don't come along very often. the guy is a winner and a change of scenery will make hime exceptional in boston. and i can safely say that without green sunglasses and green kool-aid 4. kendrick perkins - don't forget that he was monster in high-school level as well. along with paul pierce you don't probaby find better work ethic in the whole league. looking at those scrubs that get 10 million contracts based on potential i wouldn't hesitate to give him similar one. the center position is the hardest to fill and we have a diamond on our roster 5. rajon rondo - i admit i have seen him much but the clips i have seen show me a tremendous competitor with tremendous talent. again it's too early too tell but he has all the goods to be a very, very special player. i wouldn't be surprised that in 3 years he would be our starting pg backed up by telfair. can you imagine how deep we are at pg position now? 6. tony allen - based on talent the guy is better than gomes and west. after a long injury i think he's all the way back and will have the break-out year doc envisioned for last season. hope his legal issues will be solved those 6 are untouchable in my book right now for various reasons, but mainly because we don't want to go joe johnson route again 7. ryan gomes - you can't argue with his talent but i think that in the end his height will be his hindrance. based on really solid and mature play he's made name for himself in the league and don't think that it goes unnoticed among gm's. 8. delonte west - i really like his scrappy play and hustle on the floor. a total glue guy like ryan gomes. the same value as well. however does he have a position? i see him traded because he has the highest trade value of our young back court players. 9. leon powe - intriguing potential. hope he turns into a charles oakley. don't care about allan ray and dwayne jones. they won't be celtics for very long. probably practice players and d-league stars.

I like the way you sorted that out, BC.
Lets look at it this way. Of the 11 young players we have (Jefferson, Perkins, Gerald, Delonte, Tony, Gomes, Telfair, Rondo, Powe, Ray, DJ), if you had to choose 5 starters, who would they be?
I'd say Telfair, Rondo, Gerald, Jefferson, and Perkins. These are the 5 players I would hold onto and not give up. Actually, I'd add Tony Allen into this mix because he's got the game to be a starter. So these 6 players are untouchables (like you mentioned BC).
Everyone else can be looked at as trade bait. There's no way we can develop all the young players we have on our roster.

I tried to look at both who we need most now and who can provide the most value in the future. One caveat is that as I have not actually seen Rondo nor Telfair play, it was hard to judge them vs players like West, Gomes and Wally who we have all seen produce in NBA games while wearing the green.
Pierce West Perkins Jefferson Allen Green Gomes Wally Rondo Telfair Powe Ratliff Jones Pittsnogle Allen Ray
