dammit it is hard to configure and make thins look good.
Anyway when you look at it it becomes abndantly clear that everything rides on Perk and Jefferson which is why I really hope the get a good big next year. They really need one of those guys to become a best case scenario, cause the moment they do that we have an all star big, and that makes GG or Rondo or TA soooo much better. If Gomes becomes the best he can be and Perk and AL just become the average you have like Jamal maglore, Horace Grant and Kenn Thomas and that will win you squat even if GG becomes Lebron, and two of our pgs become really good. The good thing is that of our 3 ps probably one of them will become really good and the other two will be about what we expect they can be. The only players I think that might become their worst case scenario are Powe and Scala. Maybe TA. With all this young talent I am just not afraid to trade PP away for an awesome big, or some of our youth, like D West or Seb T or TA, but I don't want to trade GG and if we trade a big it better be for a really good big. This is why i think standing pat might be a really good move. Other teams will NOT win with what they have. AI missed his chance with Philly. KG missed his chance with Minn. But we haven't missed our chance yet. So if some teams want to get GG and AL for some washed up expensive superstar we should politely say "F U and the horse you rode in on." Between Telfair, Rondo, Perk, GG, and AL we have a really good future just right there possibly. Then when you add in the guys that work real hard and always beat expectations like Gomes and D West we get better. The Cs are a handful of rocks. It takes each rock to take out all our enemies. That's why we can't trade away three rocks for one even if it is a big rock. Either offer us a deal that looks good for us all around or go away. There are like 3 players I'd trade AL and GG for. Lebron, D Wade, and Duncan. And maybe KG. That's it. Not AI, not Jermaine O choke, not Chris Bosh. That's it.

I'm big on Ainge's ability to not only pick players with a lot of potential, but pick players who he thinks can live up to their potentials. So far, he's done pretty well. Many feel that Jefferson is turning out to be a bust, but that's not the case. He's learning that injuries are a part of life and that he has to work hard through them. He's gone through some setbacks, but as you can see, he's facing it like a man and working his tail off.

Most of the NBA talent is at the one, two, and three spots today.
The Center is by far the weakest NBA position. (Ming, Shaq, and long way down to Kaman, Zo, and others)
PF has been going through a rebuilding phase since Karl Malone retired but Elton Brand and Tim Duncan are the two best PF's going. Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh are the ones to watch.

Nice post Q (karma+). I think the team Danny is building is much much better as a sum, than equal to any of its parts.

Folks, PP isn't going anywhere, at least anytime soon.

It's too bad we won't trade PP cause it would be way better to pay D West and GG 25 and 45 mill each than PP 80mill. That's just common sense economics. I think we are putting our money in the wrong place.
