Ainge was watching the summer league games from the front row seats. And after the 3 big performances Gerald put on, I'm sure Ainge realizes that Gerald is a big time talent and he cannot afford to trade him away. Gerald is already a deadly individual scorer, even at the age of 20. All he needs is repetition in practice to become a solid team scorer--a guy who gets open by moving around to the open spots on the court.
Ainge must realize its a Joe Johnson situation all over again if he trades Gerald away. Gerald has star potential written all over him.

imo gg will be better than jj, because he has a lot more swagger in him. jj was tentative ofr first several years in the league. actually i'm not so sure to put the ball in his hands when the game is on the line

I agree with that, BC. Joe Johnson is a bit overhyped. He made a big name for himself by being one of the key pieces in Phoenix's offense. But he's not a franchise guy you build your team around. Rule of thumb is you don't build your team around a wing player. Ainge is not building this team around Gerald, but Green, IMO, has more potential as an impact player than JJ.
