Pierce did a wonderful job making the transition from iso scorer to team scorer last season. But there were times (especially in the second half of the season) when he would hold onto the ball himself and try to make things happen.
Granted, we have extremely young PG's on the team, but both Telfair and Rajon are playmaking PG's who have the making to be excellent floor generals.
Fast forward to the second half of the season. With the game on the line (and no timeouts remaining for Doc to design a play), will Pierce allow Telfair to dictate the offense for the final shot? Or will he demand the ball and call for an isolation at the top of the key?

Possibly whoever is the PG will determine where the ball goes.

If that's the $64,000 question, the $64001 is will Pierce make any attempt to run the floor, when the quick point guards are pushing the pace? I laugh when commentators (and Telfair) describe the Celtics as a "running" team. If the players won't run the wing; Sebastion and Rajon are going to look pretty weak, pretty fast.

Right, JB. I think its very important that the whole team understands that they need to run. Being slow footed gives you no excuse not to run. Larry Bird was certainly a slow footed player, but he constantly ran the floor.
Pierce doesn't run the floor much and Doc needs to make sure he does. Tony Allen and Gerald Green will certainly run. I can't wait for a 3 on 2 fastbreak with Telfair or Rondo running the middle and Gerald and Tony on both sides of hm. Automatic 2 pts.

Reports from summer league are that Jefferson and Gomes also benefited from the running game and were very effective filling the lanes. I'll be watching the Toronto game later today and will report more on that during tonight's streaming webcast.

You could see that Jefferson was always the type to run. Whenever pulling down a defensive rebound, he quickly gets rid of it and dashes up the floor. Gomes is a good follow guy who cleans up the mess.
All in all, we have good fastbreak players. Even Wally seemed to be more than willing to sprint downcourt on fastbreaks last year.
