Could we have a rebirth of Celtics history with this draft?
Theo comes over with a recent history of injuries, and at an age when he is going downhill.
Cs have found gold in such situations before.
Remember Clyde Lovelette? Showed up and played a good hand.
Remember Bill Walton? Played a major role in the last (gasp!) championship.
Remember one particular draft where a trade brought in return a very promising player who had underachieved in his first, what, 4 years?
Remember The Chief?
Could DA duplicate history in one fell swoop?
Let's see.
About time. for some luck.

I was thinking of the same thing the other night. If either Telfair or Rondo can step up to the plate and become a standout passing PG, that takes care of an essential need. If Clifford Ray can bring out the best in Jefferson, Perkins, Theo, Gomes, and DJ, and get them to all be strong rebounders, that takes care of another essential need.
And with Gerald, Jefferson, Pierce, and Wally, we have 4 star players. That is luxury right there. And talk about solid depth!! We are covered at every position.
Ainge does not need to make a trade for Iverson. We can have a future dynasty by just holding onto what we now have and concentrate on developing them.

I hope so.
This franchise needs to get back to its glory days.

Detroit proved that you can win without a big time superstar. They showed the NBA that you can win with a team full of good talent, as long as they are playing together and all shooting for the same goal.
We don't necessarily need a superstar like Iverson to be champions.
