Anyone know if the summer league games are going to be televised this year on NBAtv?
We're only playing 5 games this summer:
Sat, vs. Mavericks Sun, vs. Clippers Tues, vs. Raptors Wed, vs. Nuggets Fri, vs. Pistons
I hope we dominate this year. We went 5-1 last year, but this year's team is much more loaded: Gerald, Jefferson, Gomes, Telfair, Delonte, Tony, Alan Ray, Rajon, Powe, etc.
Last year, Bassy was one of the top performers. Averaged 18.7 ppg and 6 apg. He had big games during the week--a 23 pt-10 ast game vs. the Warriors, a 24 pt game against the Cavs, and a 27 pt-8 ast game vs. the Wizards.

The irony is that our summer league team is our season team as well, sans P2 and Wally.

And without Perk.
If our summer league team can dominate and the players all perform exceptionally well, its a good sign towards this coming season. Its only been a bit under 3 months since the season ended, but most of the guys have been hard at work, trying to improve their games. I hope in those 3 months, -Jefferson improved his rebounding positioning and polishing his post skills -Tony improved his ball handling and outside shooting -Delonte improved his pick and roll decision making -Gerald improved a bit in all departments -Gomes improved his outside shooting

Telfair has dominated the summer league in the past so anything more than 1 loss will be a let down.

www.vegassummerleague.com/schedule.cfmNone of the TV times for the games have been listed yet. Check the above web site. The games start on Thursday, so they should post them soon. Last year they had them all on tape delay, some as late as 2 weeks after they were played. Pretty gruesome. I have no idea why they don't just put them all on live. I mean what else does NBA TV have to televise?

They have to televise the WNBA ;D
Our team started practicing for the summer league games today. Boy, would I like to have been there to watch all these kids play. Telfair, Rondo, Delonte, Tony, Gerald, Gomes, Powe, Jefferson, DJ, Alan Ray, etc. Wow, talk about exciting talent. I'd be upset if we lose any games.

Are they shilling for the casinos? Protecting the live gate? Even if they put them on at 4:00AM, we could still tape them and there would be some current interest. Why watch them in two weeks, unless it's to see a certain dunk or a few minutes here and there? I jsut got a DVR and was hoping to watch these games, before I had memorized the box score and they have all been analyzed "every which way" by the various internet commentators.

Atleast when they were playing Summer league in Boston they play the games on FSN. Now, I can only go by the box scores posted at like midnight.

So they are going to televise the games (albeit tape delay)? I can live with that. How many games are they going to televise of the Celtics?

Last year NBA TV televised 3 of the Celtics' games. I have seen several blurbs where NBA TV will televise select games. But they haven't posted a schedule yet. Last year the press release with the schedule came out on July 5 so I expect it any day now.
