Two things from this article caught my eye. King said that the talks are no longer alive and he also said he really wanted Foye and the Celtics took him and traded to Portland. Could that have been one of the hinges of the trade talks that were going on? Maybe they wanted Foye with the 7th pick and also wanted Al and Green and Danny said it was too steep a price. Maybe that is how their name got into trade talks. Just a thought. Anyway, sounds like King is not longer interested in trade talks with Boston. Danny did say that there were other names out there and he may be working on something entirely different.

Does it say when this article was written? Talks were dead a while ago, but news was that Ainge is trying to revive it.
It would be solid if we can get Iverson without giving up Gerald and Jefferson. But I'd be happy to stay with what we have and see where we go.
Bassy Wally Pierce Jefferson Perkins
2nd unit Delonte/Rondo Allen Gerald Gomes/Powe Ratliff/DJ

It was written today as they were talking about last night's draft and trying to get Foye and trading to get Carney...

Don't know about AI, but if whatshisface (guy who comes with Telfair---can't believe I can't remember his name)is close to what he was, then DA has added an important veteran who will be mroe valuable than the one he lost---Raef.

Ratliff will be a nice piece to the team, imo. If that is who you were thinking of Ferb.

I am very happy to stick with the team we have now. I think Danny has upgraded talent a lot without giving up much. The more I think about it the more I don't want Iverson. Jackie M's article this morning cemented it for me. He just doesn't fit what we are building here.

If Danny does not get the iverson deal done, I believe he'll go seek out other superstars in the NBA. I think this is one of many rumored all-stars that might possibly come to boston.
i.e. KG, Shawn Marion, JO, and others.
This will definitely be the summer of rumors and we'll find out what exactly Danny vision will be after this summer is over.

I would much rather have Marion than AI, IMO. He's a much better fit and it probably wouldn't take GG and Al to get him.

Marion is another big contract guy and he's a SF. Would they want to take Wally in his place? Marion would definitely help usher our uptempo game.
