You look at the C's roster and we are pretty good now, and for the future. I really don't see any glaring weakness anywhere. Right now we have guys like
West, Telfair Pierce, Allen Szerbiak, Green Jefferson, Gomes Perkins, Ratliff
and a future that looks even better with guys like
West, Telfair, Rhondo Pierce Green Jefferson, Gomes Perkins
Ainge can pretty much sit on what he has or deal his cards if something big comes along.

Yeah i agree, it's going to be intresting to see what philly ask in return for iverson. I'm almost resigned to the fact that they either want jefferson or gerald green. We have numerous assets that's for sure.

Truth be told, I would be happy rolling the dice with the players we have now. I don't think getting Iverson is absolutely necessary to bring home a championship. I think if we add a couple more good pieces (of the veteran variety), we'd be in the thick of things atop the eastern conference, with more seasoning of course.
I mean, thinking of Iverson and Pierce together on the same team. along with Jefferson, sounds like a surer thing. But I wouldn't discount our chances if we don't make any significant moves this offseason.

I like AI as a player but not as a fit for our team.
I'd rather be more comfortbale like DM said, with rolling the dice with who we have now.
I think Telfair can do good with this team, and I like the idea of Rondo as another point guard prospect. We may arguably have one of the best three point guard rotations in the league with Delonte, Telfair, and Rondo.
I also have mixed feelings though. I agree with Dicky V. Foye has poor man's Dwayne Wade written all over him. Although I agree Telfair and Rondo are much truer point guards (WHAT WE REALLY NEED)
(I actually might be checking out Rondo and the C's gang in a few weeks in Vegas. If I do, I'll give you updates/recaps)

Welcome back, Esco. Missed you at the draft party, bro.
BC, maybe we can get Ben Wallace to come here. Some say he's going to test free agency.

I doubt Big Ben signes for the MLE, so it would have to be a sign and trade. Not sure what Detroit would be looking for in return. Given how he brought them a championship, they will probably over-price him.

i think he's in the decline already. or maybe he just overachieved for a couple of seasons due to the system. i definitely don't want anyone to take away perk's playing time

Well, I think that especially with the hiring of Clifford Ray and by trading away LaFrentz for Theo (who's older than Raef I believe) makes me think that Ainge and Doc will be having a rotation of Perk, Al, Gomes, Theo mostly at the 4 and 5, and that they will continue to develop the young bigs. I expect some good things from Al this year. (HIS 3RD YEAR!)
Also, the fact that J O'Neal is on the low end of Ainge's wish list. You'd think if they wanted to add a frontcourt player that he would be maybe number 1 or 2 on the list. But that could be a smokescreen as well. We all know Ainge.

Esco, good to see you on the board. I like the addition of Ratliff, because he is a veteran player who can assist Ray w/ the bigs. My only concerns w/ the PG position, is that Rondo, and Telfair can't shoot a lick. That is not to say neither can improve though.

Actually, they can shoot--its just getting the ball through the basket that's tricky for them ;D
True, they aren't good shooters. Hopefully they will improve to the point where they can be decent shooters.
Just as important as shooting is, I really want the both of them to really learn the pick and roll.
