the mmore i think of it the more i like our new roster:
pg - west, telfair, rondo sg - szczerbiak, allen sf - pierce, green, scalabrine pf - jefferson, gomes, powe c - perkins, ratliff, jones
solid 15 man roster that in essence is 10 deep
telfair will probably beat west for starting position in a couple of months.
if we trade for iverson then the ones to go would be wally, scala (for salary matching purposes), west, gomes and maybe a pick. we will not give up al and gerald. so west and gomes are next best things for phila. don't know much about powe, he could replace gomes
so the new roster could be:
pg - telfair, rondo sg - iverson, allen sf - pierce, green pf - jefferson, powe c - perkins, ratliff, jones
again, a solid deep roster but i'm as happy with the current one

you know what is especially relishing thought: that neither blount nor raef will never be our starting centers for us ever again

BC - we also have Brian Grant as part of the Phx deal.
I think we have enough material to submit a bid for the Question Mark.
Roster is looking a whole lot better already.

Looking down the road a bit, if Rondo can beat out Telfair, and we make the Iverson deal, we are going to have a downright scary backcourt.
Both Iverson and Rondo are lightning quick, long armed, ball harrassing players who get a lot of steals. Our backcourt can very well be the best defensive tandem in the league, getting 5 steals per game, just from those 2 guys!!! And with their quickness, every steal will turn into 2 easy fastbreak points.
Gotta like the sound of that, right?
