Any chance we could have all 3 by the start of the year? Let's put our Celtic Green brains to work and make it happen. Danny has a lot of chips to work with here.

It is very possible. Only problem is, it'll be hard to win more than 10 games with only 3 players on the team ;D
I think Iverson could very well be a possibility, but getting Garnett in addition to this without giving up Pierce is out of the question.

I'm feeling better about iverson now. Were now stockpiled at the point guard position. I think telfair or rondo is philly bound. Ainge just continued to add more chips to make the deal more attractive. I look at philly's selection of carney, he's a clone of Andre Igodala. I dont think iverson is to impressed by that. Iverson's time in philly has come and gone, he's frustrated with the organization and needs a fresh start. The deal make time a little while, but i feel iverson will eventually be wearing celtic green.

1st off good to see you guys tonight. CF....and all. 2nd, not sure I want AI in green. Maybe he can do the job, not too sure he is the 'team guy' we need.
One of those, wait-and-see kinda players. He might be best, on a poor team, he can be the top player on.

I do think AI will be a better team player in Boston than he was in Philly. A new start with a bonafide scoring partner next to him will make him a less shot-hungry player.
I'm just worried about who we will have to give up to get Iverson. I'm fine with moving Wally, but Gerald and Jefferson must stay.
Could Delonte be heading to Philly? He played at St. Joe's and may be happy to go back there. He'd be a hometown hero.

Pierce, Garnett, and Iverson is a mathematically impossibility. The sum of their salaries already exceeds the salary cap.

I don't want to give up any of our kids... I want to keep Delonte too.... Wally I would give up... Scal, Telfair... Maybe even Tony but I don't want to give up West, Big Al or Green but I have this sinking feeling that at least one of them will go if we get AI.
And I am giving Derren his 100th Karma point for making it to 14,000 posts and being such a great poster all the way around.

I am having trouble making the math work out in a Boston Philly trade - Iverson makes 17 million, 18.5 and 20+
Sczerbiak checks in at 11 million Scrubby about 3 million Grant 1.8 Gomes and Orien Green - 800 thou Telfair - 1.4 Rondo - rookie salary
My feeling is we are going to have to donate every draft pick between now and 2010 to have a shot.
Other teams will have better offers.
This AI trade is getting more fascinating but I am still rejecting the idea of breaking up our young core.

We only need to come within 25% of Iverson's salary according to the CBA, right? Wally, Telfair, and our exception plus draft picks should do it. And maybe we can throw in Scal just to show our good will....

From what I've read today in the Herald, the AI trade talks died down, then Boston revived them by trying to get a third team involved. I read that Boston would not trade West, leaving Jefferson and Green as the likely young players to go. I would hate to give up BOTH Jefferson and Green, and I also love West and Allen. I hope if we get AI it does not deplete us of all our young talent.

well i think one of our youngsters will go if we trade for iverson. and because of his ties, west will be the one

That doesn't make sense, IMO (making my comments on what the Herald said, not at you Mev). As much as I think Delonte is one of the heart and sole guys of our team, I can't justify keeping him over Jefferson and Gerald. These 2 young guys have star potential. Delonte does not.
I agree with BC. If Philly wants Delonte in the Iverson deal, he'll be sent packing.
