I'm sure many of you have mixed opinions about Telfair. Many of you probably don't know much about him or haven't ever seen him play.
But the rumor seems to be picking up steam and we may be looking at our new PG. I'd like to hear what you guys think--how do you think he will iimprove our team? Or will he improve our team?

I don't know if he can outplay Delonte right off the bat. Delonte is a heck of a lot more proven than Bassy at this point. But the potential to be a better playmaker is certainly there.
Telfair is a quick and shifty PG who is very compact. He's capable of making incredible passes and he's good at spacing the floor.
I think he can become a decent shooter, but nowhere close to Delonte. Telfair is still a project, though still very young. He's the same age as Jefferson (both came out in the same draft).
From what I've seen, he can run the pick and roll.
But I still feel better about Randy Foye than Telfair. I'd rather keep the 7th and land Foye.

He's not much of an upgrade if you ask me. He has no jump shot, and he cant defend. If portland is dangling him after 2 years what does that say about him? I'd rather have randy foye is he's still on the board at 7. He's explosive, tough physically, and mentally, and is a big time shot maker. 6'3 205 i like those dimensions. Telfair to me is all hype, he would have been better served getting taught in college by rick pitino at louisville. I hope ainge dosent pull the trigger on this deal. I'm sure we can get something better in return than telfair.

I just don't see him being what we need. I would much rather keep our pick... take S Williams in the draft and then sign Lynn Greer or J Will... Just think, last year we added 2 Green(e)'s and this year we could add 2 Williams'

Just think, last year we added 2 Green(e)'s and this year we could add 2 Williams' Sounds good to me, FL. Except I'd rather grab Greer than J Will. Jay will be an extreme liability on D and we don't need that. He just doesn't have the lateral quickness to even be an OK defender in this league. Greer would make a great backup to Delonte and would supply great scoring off the bench. If we aren't able to grab Shelden, I say we pick a slider and send him off to either New Orleans for their 12 and 15 or to NJ for their 22 and 23. We can then take a big like Simmons or Armstrong and another player.
