Trade the pick
Get rid of Raef in the process
Raef + #7 to NOK for PJ Brown + #15
We get a solid contributor for one year, as well as a decent pick. NOK would do it because while Raef has two more years on his contract, it keeps New Orleans right around the cap and by the end of his contract would be a heavy but valuable expiring contract.

Yeah, that might work if we can get the Hornets to take Raef. I don't feel that losing Raef will be all that bad. His outside shot won't be replaced by PJ Brown, but Brown's hard work on the inside will be a nice help for the young guys.
With the 15th pick, we can draft Daniel Gibson, whom I think is the type of PG Ainge really likes. I really don't see how he is projected to be drafted in the 2nd round.

Intelligent trade selection.
I believe Danny will trade the #7 selection (O'Bryant) plus Scalabrine to Seattle for the #9 and Robert Swift - BTW we could get a PG that way too.

Gibson may be too much of a gamble -- he's really a 2-guard in a 1's body. Once again, Ainge will select whoever falls (I have a feeling it's going to be Aldridge -- gut instinct).

DA might do something in a trade. I could see him moving down to gain a second round pick as well. Now that we have the NBDL, it opens doors to "project" players.
