Hey, if you get the chance, can you ask Eric Weiss who he thinks is the better PG prospect between Jay Williams and Marcus Williams. He had a write up on DraftExpress during their workout against each other a few weeks ago, but he didn't say who he thought was the better player.

It's a call in show, you know. ;>)

He had a write up on DraftExpress during their workout against each other a few weeks ago, but he didn't say who he thought was the better player. He wouldn't say on the air, either and I asked him directly by reading your question, but he did say that Jay was the better passer and that he thought he was NBA ready and that some team would sign him. He said a lot more, so if you didn't catch the show, you might like to listen at least to the second hour which was all with Eric. He was a great guest.

Both guests were great. It was another very good show! It moved along very quickly and I couldn't believe that it was 2 hours already!! I can't wait for the draft show!

Thanks for asking the question, JB. I would like to be a part of the live call ins, but I'm at work when its on.
So Eric thinks Jay is the better passer (compared to Marcus Williams)? And this is after getting into a nasty bike accident, battling all the way back from ground zero, and now competing against high level competition. I think Marcus Williams is a terrific passer with a lot of court vision. If Jay is a better passer, you can imagine how much his game has changed since his days at Duke and in his rookie season with the Bulls. Even Doc commented on JWill's ability to pass the ball, referring to his ability to run the pick and roll (even at half speed).
I'm sold. We need to get this guy. I mean, even if he isn't quite as good as I'm hoping, he'd still give us a quality backup PG in back of Delonte. But the way it sounds, his passing could place him in front of Delonte.

He is an Ainge/Rivers kind of player. Mike James on humilty pills. I look for the C's to go big in the draft, or trade down/out.

Lynn Greer sounds pretty good too. I'l be content with whichever decision Ainge makes.

Wow that was awesome man... anytime you want to advertise one of your shows on my celtics site you can... celticspride.netThanks for the opportunity and the praise. You run a pretty cool site. I've been reading your blog, daily, for some time. I'll check out the message board today. I'll tell you, this internet bolgging thing reminds me of the time when New York had about ten daily newspapers. The columnists actually walked the streets all day, checking with their sources and trying to sniff out a scoop, to beat out the others to the story. At the end of the day, they all hit the same bar room to entertain each other.

If you don't know Jon, he's the Celtics writer for Boston Sports Media Watch. With aplogies to many of my friends, imho, he's the very best Celtic writer out there.
