Are you guys more comfortable with our current PG depth or our current big man depth?
PG: Delonte, Orien, Dickau (Tony Allen is in the mix as well)
or
Big man rotation: Perkins, Jefferson, Gomes, Raef, DJ, Scalabrine
We aren't good enough to be drafting for a specific need yet. But it would be nice if we were able to land the player we want and that player happens to play the position we need help at.
Do you think we need more help at PG or at the Bigs?

PG. I am not sold on West as the starter, and if he get hurt, I don't like the idea of Greene, or Dickau.

I think our PG situation is slightly more stable, but I think the ceiling on our bigs is much higher. THat being said, I wouldnt mind seeing Ainge pull the trigger on a big IF he thinks he can become a big time player.

Yes, Fresh, that would be my ideal way to look at it. If he sees O'Bryant, Tiago Splitter, or Shelden Williams as impact players for us, I'd be interesting in taking one of these big men over an impact PG like Foye. Reason being, FL12 and I are trying to petition for Jay Williams to come to Boston and be our PG of the present and future ;D

Unfortunately, I do not share the love for JayWill. Nothing against the guy, but I dont expect big things out of him. Call it a hunch. If we are gonna go small, I'd like it to be Foye. I like the sounds of that guy. Rando's attitude + lack of a shot scare me, and Willaims rubs me the wrong way for some reason. Now thats some in depth analysis.

There are waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more times that I went to bed thinking "if we had just had a good big man" or "if Al had just played like he cared" than the amount of times thinking "man we need a pg really bad", in fact tons of times I went to bed thinking "without Delonte we lose that game" and "at least we have DWest" and "DWest is a miracle." NO! NO I SAY! I have wanted a good big man on this team since I was a little kid and was heart broken to have to realize that Montross sucked and was always going to suck. When his stats went down his second year I thought "Is that possible?" NO. I WANT A BIG MAN!!!!!! Keep your eyes on the prize dammit.

Hey Eja... you forgot to add that we need a good big man with tremendous upside potential.... I think we have 2 good big men. Up until now, they have been hampered by lack of playing time and injuries but I think that is over. They have one of the best big men coaches in the league working with them to harness the potential that up until now has only been promised. I think this season we will see both of them come on strong and have break out seasons. Another surprise is going to be Raef. He is there in Boston working with Ray and that is a good thing. As a vet, it really is a good sign that he is spending his summer working out with Ray and with the kids. It will build chemistry and will make Raef a better player. Also, I am really hoping that Ray will be able to teach Doc how to best use his big men. Doc didn't have a clue last year, he didn't play any of them in the post but had them all standing on the perimeter. Hopefully Doc can learn from Cliff how to use the bigs in the post and that will improve us a great deal. Along with that, I do believe that Danny is going to draft a big. Whether it is S. Williams (my current favorite) or O'Bryant (my alternate favorite), Thomas (a good pick), Bargnani (would be a very good pick) or whoever, I think we will get someone who can help us.

Raef has to work hard just to not be the worst big man in the league. He will never not be the worst dollar for dollar

Injuries at both have me wondering. When healthy, I see nice 'upside'. When not, I cry... lol
Time to package Dickau and Reaf for a second round pick and an expiring contract. If we can...
