SI took a poll and asked 248 NBA players what other teams they most wanted to play for and least wanted to play for. We didn't make the list of where players wanted to go and 3% of the players said they wouldn't want to play in Boston. The least favorite place to play, though, is Utah.... And we aren't quite as bad as the Knicks so that is a good thing.... Here is the link to the whole survey results. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/players/05/30/poll.0530/index.html

Sounds about right. Players want to live: in a city that wins championships; in a city that is media drvien; and/or in a city that has warm weather.

That will change in a few years. Like RR said, not many people want to play for a losing team, and right now, that's what we are.
But just watch how many players are going to want to play for us once the tide starts to change. We are the next powerhouse team in the league.

In the 4 years I spent in Mass, I would concur its Tax-a-chusetts for sure.

I couldn’t agree with the title of this thread more. Players don’t want to play in Boston because it’s a northeastern team in a state that taxes the life out of you with a franchise that has been in a state of bedlam for nearly two decades.
