I had always said that in Al's 3rd year, that we would start to see a dramatic change in his play, and that he would have a "mini-breakout season".
Now, especially with the hiring of Clifford Ray, a former 6'9" center, I think Al will come ready to play next year. He already has a huge chip on his shoulder, and I expect big things from him. He has already been working out a whole lot with Ray, and he is seen in the background of a Marcus Williams interview working on his explosiveness to the rim.
Supposedly, his physique has filled out already and he is in the best shape since being a Celtic.
I expect big things from him next season: I predict 12 points a game and 6.5 boards off the bench.
His D needs to improve though as well.

Big Al always had the potential in his game. He has a ton of untapped potential. All he needs is to understand how to harness the potential and hopefully Clifford Ray can bring it out of him. With crisper footwork, Al will be a dangerous post scorer. With better conditioning, Al will not tire out like he often was at the end of the game. With better positioning, Al will bring down more rebounds. With better physical fitness, Al will be quicker, stronger, and more explosive.
All this will boost his confidence and this will push him over the top. Al needs to have that killer instinct. I didn't see it in him consistently so far.
