Boston stays at #7 and Minny stays at 6... Portland though who had the best chance of winning it is at 4. #3 is Bobcats ... #2 is Bulls... #1 pick goes to the Raptors.
I really hate the Bulls getting #2 pick. Hopefully Danny can still do something good with the pick even at #7.

FL12, any idea if we are getting the 2nd round pick from Golden State? I read somewhere this morning something about getting the 2nd from GS if they are picking after Houston, but I can't remember if it was the other way around.

As far as I know we won't get it this year because they won the tie breaker drawing. i don't know if there are any other extenuating circumstances that would turn it back to us but as of when they did the tie breakers earlier they said that we won't get it this year.

I could be mistaken, but I thought if Golden State pulled ahead of Houston in the lottery, then we would get the second rounder. Don't quote me on that though.

Even if Golden State pulls in front of Houson in the first round because of the lottery, won't the second round still stay the same as determined by the tie breaker? I could be wrong as well, but I thought it was settled at that point that we wouldn't get it. It would be nice if I was wrong and we had that extra pick. It would probably be a better bargaining chip than for the pick we would get there, anyway.

Hard to say what is right and what is wrong, but I did read this morning that we could get a second rounder from GS depending on if they pulled ahead of Houston, or if they were in back of Houston. I forget which one.
Now, it could be that the paper got their information mixed up. If that's the case, everything is moot.

Just got this from Celtics.com
Since Golden State did not move ahead of Houston in the draft then we don't get their pick....

Who did the Celtics send in for the lottery cards, ML Carr?

Thanks for doing the leg work, FL12. So Minny gets our 37th pick and we don't get the pick from GS. Oh well, not like we needed to add more young players to our already young team anyways.

Well, there's no one whom I'm dying to draft, so I don't mind moving down in the order and selecting a guy later in the draft.
Ainge is getting a real good look at Will Blalock (had him in twice already for workouts). If he likes him, something could be in the works to draft a certain player with the 7th pick in exchange for BLalock later in the draft.

True they have had Blalock in twice now, and it is possible that Ainge is looking to trade down. He has already stated that "his guy is not slated to be picked until 13" but draft slots change and that was over a month ago I believe that he said that.
At this point, I still say Foye is our guy right now, although it is EARLY in the draft process. He was the first guy brought in that could actually be worth a #7 pick and something just tells me that we could see at times next year a small-ball lineup of Foye and West.
If you go to the draft board, you can see DM's and my opinions on the guy. We seem to both agree about him. I think he can be a solid player in the league (a Billups/Wade type of talent, if not a little under them).

You know what I would like to do with the draft? This is sorta radical but I would like to trade down to the bottom of the draft in order to get rid of Raef for a shorter or cheaper contract. Like trade with Dallas something like Raef for Van Horn or with the Suns for Brian Grant or with Portland for Brian Skinner. Then with that pick take some prospect that slips or is undervalued like maybe Blalock or Craig Smith or Josh Boone or Paul Milsap. We could maybe even still get a half way decent pg at that spot. I GUARANATEE somebody is slippin in this draft. Could be anyone. Reddick. Rondo, Shelden W. Anyone.
