I hope they keep Dwayne Jones on the team next year as a backup big man. I expect him to go to training camp next year and earn a spot on the team. This guy can really be an asset I think to the team as a reserve.
He is a natural rebounder, and in the games that I have seen him play in he has always been at the right place crashing the boards, boxing out. He is not afraid to tangle down low and his long arms have helped him snatch some big rebounds. I think he had 2 double-digit rebounding games towards the end of the season (if I am not mistaken). He even can block a few shots.
What I think they will probably do is cut Olowokandi and replace his spot with Jones as a cheap replacement.
I just hope that he can find a spot on the team next year. I really like him as a rebounder off the bench - 10, 11th guy. It is never a bad thing to have a project guy on the end of your bench who is roughly 7 feet can bang, rebound and block a few shots.

Mentok the Mindreader predicts DJ will become a 21st century Duane Causwell. And as Martha Stewart sez, "and thats a very good thing."

I agree, I really liked what I saw from him. Tommy was saying how he improved a lot from when they called him up to when he finally got playing time. I can see him being a very hard worker like our other kids and expect him to come back next year even better. His quickness impressed me as well as his ability to snag offensive rebounds. He comes off the pick and roll really smoothly. If he adds some offensive moves around the basket this summer he will make a very good back up to Perk.
