Its almost a foregone conclusion that Michael Olowokandi is not going to remain a Celtic beyond this summer. Ainge has basically said so already. He will not re-sign him.
But who else will be gone?
If Ainge is intent on getting us a veteran player to help us out, a trade may be involved. We have a crowded lineup as is, and there can only be 12 active players on the roster:
Pierce Raef Perk Al Gomes Wally Delonte Tony Gerald Scal Orien Dickau Dwayne Jones
= 13 players (only 12 can be on the active roster). Each and every one of these 13 players appear to have a role (yes, even Scal and Dickau)
Adding a veteran player or 2 will bring us to 14. And then our draft pick will make it 15 (but we can most likely assume that the rookie will be in the NBDL).
This is going to be tough because I like each and every one of the 13 guys we currently have, and I wouldn't want to part with any of them.

If I had to pick one of the 13 - not to be returned, I might say Dwayne Jones. But I like his game of rebounding, shot-blocking and defense.
And we may trade our pick plus Scrubby (Scalabrine) for a role player.

Part of me says that possibly Orien or Dickau may not be back. With them training Tony at the point and all the talk about bringing in a veteran point, I think it will be one or both of those two who won't be back. If Danny could find a taker for Raef it is possible he could be traded but i just don't see anyone taking on that contract for as little as he does. Maybe Scal... but that is hopeful thinking. I definitely think Dwayne Jones will be back. I really liked what he brings to the team and think Danny does too since he insisted that Jones be included in the trade. Dickau isn't a good defender and with all the talk about improving defense, I would say Dickau would go before Greene.

With our lack of solid depth at the 4 and 5, I doubt Ainge looks to move Dwayne Jones, especially since he's showing early signs of being a good player.
Dan Dickau might be a guy to go, but with his ability to shoot the ball, he'll be a player to use off the bench. But no doubt that he may be a trade option.
I'm thinking Orien may be a guy we may say good bye to. Just a hunch. He's a good defender and he's got the game to be a solid backcourt player (if he harnesses his jumper). But in the numbers game, he may not add up. With Delonte, Tony, Dickau, and a veteran PG (whom may be a target this summer), our PG situation appears crowded.
Scalabrine is not much of a fan favorite, but I like him as a guy who adds depth. He's got to learn not to be flashy and prance all around the court. He's a terrific hustle guy who can grab us tough boards and he moves around well for a big guy. But with Gomes emerging as real player, Scal may be hard pressed to receive any playing time.

It's either Oriene or Dan Dickau with will be removed from the active roster. I[m predicting Dickau wil be the odd man out becuase of his defensive liability and the archiles heal injury which is quite difficult to overcome from especially from a guy who didn't have quick speed in the first place.

I'd say Greene, but I'd prefer Dickeau. That so far has been one of the few DA moves that i didnt agree with (resigning Blount and the 2nd antoine trade are the other two). I think hes wasting a roster spot that a more exp. PG would fill much better. Im jones-ing to see David Wesley back in Green.

If Allen is found "guilty", he will be packing his bags out of the Boston.

I agree with Fl and DM. Orien probably has the best chance of not being here come training camp. I think Ainge may acquire another point guard either via the draft or free agency (Brevin Knight, J Vaughn). Even if they do not, they still have Dickau coming back (who has a longer, more expensive contract than Greene) and Doc has even said T Allen will play more point next year as Gerald $ will get more PT at the 2 and 3. His speeding incident didn't help much either.
T Allen's incident was worse but if he is found not guilty, he will most likely stick with the team because he has the potential to make a bigger impact on the team than O Greene.
If it is a choice between Kandi and D Jones, D Jones stays definitely. He is cheaper, younger, and has some real potential as a rebounding shotblocker off the bench. NO WAY he starts over Perk though. Although, I have been pleasantly surprised with Kandi's attitude in trying to play the mentor role. I would have thought he would have started moaning and groaning by racking up all those DNP's after the trade with Minny.
